I think something is wrong with these plays. I have only gathered one replay over the last few weeks, but in hopes of finding more I'm posting anyways, because someone else is bound to see it.Originally posted by catch22
If you think something is broken (as is the case with the OP in this thread), then the correct place to post it is in the Bugs Forum. IIAMLEGEND, please post the OP in the Bugs Forum and the Bugs team will look at it and determine if it is something that we need to address.

Thought you had to be in front of the runner:

This one seems to say fakes are "toned down," but it's from 2009.
I thought I recalled seeing one afterwards that said faking out a defender when the defender is behind would be impossible.

Yes, it's as was discussed in the test blog and posts related to it.

They do not have constantly simulated heads and arms, etc. However, lots of situations determine a "front" and "back" or "side" or "arm reach" for a player depending on their current heading, the type of play, and what they're doing at the time. For instance, a HB with the ball is generally considered to be looking downfield, so he can't see players behind him. Or the QB can't see blitzers on the left as easily. ... - Bort

CB1 appears to get faked downfield while trailing the HB, dot doesn't shrink, but changes angles unnecessarily putting him out of position.

looks like the ball carrier is making a cut to me (which would lead to a changed angle). More agility & quick cut and he'd probably make the tackle

Watch when HB is around the 50 yardline
HBs movement is along a straight path, no wavering... doesn't look like a cut.

that's what i was looking at. Looks to me that he veers a bit to the left. Hard to tell for sure though :/

This doesn't look anything like a fake to me. Meaning I don't think the HB did anything to cause this movement.
Why the CB tried to move might be a problem, but I'm fairly confident he wasn't faked into it. Like usual we are going to need more examples.

My best guess at the moment is based off speed script saying that that HB was a decent amount faster than the CB. I think he realized he wasn't going to get him and fell in behind instead. That's my best guess with just the 1 replay.
