Hey guys, this is my LB right now, He JUST hit lv. 8 and I have 5 SP to use, 3 Boosts and a custom EQ to make. Trying to figure out which direction I should take him in, kinda want a "jack of all trades" LB. Where should I be focusing those PTs tho especially. Thanks!

Physical Attributes
Strength:27.31 (+1)
Speed:23.8 (+1)
Agility:20.8 (+1)
Jumping:12.31
Stamina:15.31
Vision:30.8
Confidence:12.8

Football Skills
Blocking:8
Tackling:41.8 (+1)
Throwing:8
Catching:8
Carrying:8
Kicking:8
Punting:8

Also the only SA I have so far is +1 in Super Vision

And my EQ gives me +2% bonuses in
Make Tackle
Break Block
Avoid Fake chance
Deflect Ball Chance

Thanks guys!

no matter his archetype, he should have had something capped by now. plus, you don't need to worry about AEQ at those levels, but when you do, hold out for better % items--don't go anything under 5% if you want the equipment to be any good!

more generally--since GLB encourages specialization in LB slots, 'jack of all trades' is a terrible idea. go fast or go strong.

okay... thanks. any other opinions? I am gonna move toward Speedy OLB type then i guess. I will get Speed to first cap pronto. As for EQ, my AEQ is no good? Thanks for the tip

again--don't worry about AEQ yet--just stockpile BTs for at least the next 10+ levels. as far as % abilities go, remember that you can get 2%, 3% or 5% pieces--if you want to settle for 2% go ahead, but you'll be going up against people in the upper leagues who held out for 5% pieces. additionally, those pieces in particular go with the bad jack-of-all-trades idea--think more specifically about how you want him to play and what position he's going to fill.

At this point you should go ahead and cap tackling first. Honestly, I'd retire and start over. If you cap speed now, you're leaving a TON of training on the table. I would cap tackling, while training intense speed only until you have the SP to take it to the first cap, then go back to multi on the rest.

rolling for AEQ is best done after 45. You get more options with better stats on them. I've learned the hard way. You can roll at like 35 but better to wait.

Also what TheGreatPuma said. You've kind of hamstrung yourself by spreading your SPs and training out. For the first season, if you focus on one stat (speed or strength depending on your build is generally the way to go), then you will get some really good ALGs before level 22.

okay quick questions. What is the benefit of retiring him now? will i get more pts back then if i wait... i mean i know he wont be the best player ever but, hes less than a season old... is it that bad already? Ill retire and start over if I am that far behind, but dang lol...

No, not BAD per se, I've seen much worse. It's just that you've focused on the wrong attributes (tackling & vision) when you should have been focused on speed.

As for whether or not it will cost you anything, no, not if you're not boosting. If you boost him now, then retire him you'll obviously lose 30% of the boost flex spent.

I just looked at him and he was created at a bad time too. Optimal time to create is day 40/41.
