This looks strange. THe CB moves to mirror the WR, which is normal- however, he takes a few steps back while the WR takes steps back. it just looks strange.

not to mention it looks like the next closest WR humps him a moment before the catch. i think the play design might be a bit off.

That CB is set to cover WR4/5 or zone not WR2?
The WR is blocking the CB.

the CB is set to cover the WR in front of him. no zones. and i agree that the WR is blocking the CB. however, it looks like he's mauling him before the catch.

Can you screen shot the dpc play or give me GM access?

GM offer coming. i'm at work, so I can't exactly watch the replay again to tell you the exact play that was used until I get home to investigate, however.

actually, i forgot that it is not my team, but just my defense. will ask the owner to grant you access.

Is this about the CB covering WR2? If so I think what happens is he gets tangled up with WR4 and is screened so moves around the play.

It would help if you weren't running a 4/3 vs. the 5 WR set.

Ok there are several things going on here.
First: CB2 is set as cover man w/o move. Because the WR is behind the line of scrimmage he will just follow along laterally until the pass is thrown or the the WR crosses the line of scrimmage.
Second: This lateral following runs him right into a blocking WR as Dr. E stated. I don't see anything weird about the block made, that might be something with your fps or replay settings.
Third:With GM access I can see that the CB in question has 0energy and 0morale at the time this play happens. He's only level 16 anyway and this is giving him a huge stat penalty, so he is going to fowl this coverage up a lot more often and a lot worse.

He does a pretty good job of getting off the block and heading toward the WR given his level and penalties. I am not seeing a bug here.

NOT LIKELY A BUG

Androth has hit the nail on the head. Doesn't appear to be a bug and verifying as such.

Agreed with this assessment.

Closing and Moving to Issue determined not a bug.

OP informed.
