His pursuit angle is ridiculous.

I've thought about starting bugs on this before, but when I saw this today, i knew I had to post something.

Can't immediatley find further examples of this.... but to help exemplify the problem watch the CB pursuit angles change as the HB crosses the line of scrimmage on these two plays:

Second one I assume we are talking about the deep zone CB? He doesn't adjust his pursuit until way after the HB crosses the LOS and I'm guessing that is because he is in a deep zone?

The third one, I don't see anything wrong with.

I saved the first one for last because I am thinking 1 of 2 things. That either it is related to this:

It's not exact, but it reminded me of it for some reason.

Also we need to know what the FS progression was? Maybe he missed a vision check and defaulted to blitz or whatever.
I think more then one replay that look like the FS one will be needed as well.

edit... might have a bit to do with the "defensive players running into each other" non-bug problem that's out there right now.

I looked over my own team in regards to this bug, and from a zone further back they were able to take a better angle and identify it was a run. I think this is likely due to the initial line the FS takes to his zone and the blob of players interfering with his line of sight.

NOT LIKELY A BUG

i think this is the case... still strange that they would run into a big cluster like they did

Often times you see safeties take an inside out approach at a play like this and make the play. Terrible defense though.

I agree that this is more a case of bad defensive setup creating bad angles rather than a bug. Verifying as not likely a bug.

Of the 3 replays here - just that 3rd one duplicates the initial replay in the OP and the FS actually made the play there. Think it's partly bad vision line for the FS but also the FS miscalculates and tries to undercut that play but just runs into too much traffic and gets caught up.

Agreeing that I don't see this as a bug.
