Your overall GLB experience mirrors my own... right down to the pee wee level and I can appreciate the effort you are putting in to get to where you want to be. If my post was as insulting as you make it seem then i apologize. it has nothing to do with the new and/or up and coming owners/coordinators but i just think some people want to point to the coordinating scenarios as why they can't succeed when sometimes its a matter of putting forth some effort to begin with.

I spent half a dozen seasons learning and losing to former gold teams and teams with plenty of gold caliber talent. The demotion process insures there are plenty of teams that can add 'Former Gold League Team' to their resume. There continues to be plenty of gold coordinators that want their own teams that often start and stay in silver. Who can fault them for bringing friends along to help them run the operation?

I'll spare you the condescending details of my own silver team but suffice it so say that you can tell whom is actually trying and what teams thought that just showing up was good enough for a win. I only refer to it as a 'project' because I have no intentions of seriously contending for a trophy. Veteran owners/coordinators hanging around in sparsely populated leagues hoping to score an easy trophy for their home page, however, is nothing new to glb. Its less sinister than some people in this thread would have you believe.

There is no super secret formula to success and gold league affiliates are not flaunting it at the silver level to the detriment of Pee Wee enthusiasts (ie: themselves) . Success at the silver level has jsut as much to do with recruiting/building/ tactics/scouting/ai's /boosting/placement/RNGs etc as any other league and with your experience, you should (and I think, do?) realize that.

thats about 500 words longer than i wanted it to be but i hope you get the point i'm making and avoid taking anything personally.

Heh okay man.

Thats a very fair assessment

Uh ok.. roger that.

Gruppo did a hell of a job with the Goats last season. Especially since he had never DC'd before. We had a few PMs before playoffs to tighten up the Ds and the Goats looked pretty strong. Builds were phenomenal and probably were top 5 (or maybe better) builds last season.

Yup, you guys did a great job.

I talked a bit to Gruppo after, for one reason or another he didn't get a chance to fully scout for the game against the Warriors - if i'd known that i wouldn't have changed so many of the offensive plays that killed the team before

Live and learn!!
