Not if you want the voters to put a little thought into it. It would take time to look over the teams to do a reasonable job of doing a ranking if one was inclined to do that. If the voters only spend 5 seconds on it then I don't really see the point. It would be heavily biased to that voters teams and associated teams. And probably heavily biased based on conferences........just by nature if I don't put any thought into it at all the west would just naturally have higher rankings because I am more familiar with those teams (not that I am going to rank the #5 west team over the #1 east team).

For it to really work then the voters need to participate and cast somewhat reasonable votes......So I only suggest to make the ranking a little easier by only doing top 15 or 20. But it is only a suggestion.................this is your thing feel free to do what you want

5 seconds means popularity voting, as Bevo was saying a good scout of rankings takes time. When I used the match ups spread sheet, I would look at a team who scored a ton of points and offense but if you digged depper you would see their opponents win and losses were very one sided to the L. I'm still working on my own thing that includes Ranked games and Tourneys but deciding which is more important is where I hit a snag.

If the teams were sorted by each column in LE's spread sheet, a value (pts) could be assigned. Take the total values (pts) assigned and divide by number of columns and there is your ranking.

After importing the data, I tossed two dafadills into the wind and let my spirit God guide me by way of retractive sunlight and wind. I then took that information and wrote it down and put it under my pillow and the dream Gods took care of the rest. When I awoke they were all right there in perfect harmony!
