Game of the week:
West Country Wyverns (3-3) VS. Toulouse Aviators (5-1)

Team overviews:
-Toulouse has proving their worth among the top teams in alpha. The Aviators have already knocked off top team Bonn Dynamo, and their only loss came by one single point against very tough Manchester Mob. With a win against an always solid West Country, they will prove to be among alpha's elite.
-Don't let West Country's record fool you, they have had a tough road so far. All three of the Wyverns's losses came from alpha's elite teams, and all three games were tough fought battles. West Country can hang with anyone, but wins against top opposition haven't come about. The Wyverns' need this win to set them apart from the bottom tier in alpha.

Prediction: The Wyverns' will upset Toulouse. West Country's defense will wear and shut down Toulouse's strong rush attack, and use field position in order to kick their way to victory.

West Country by 3

note: wrath of conner will be adding the rest of the matchups

We managed to barely clip the Aviators' wings last season. Here's hoping we've got that kind of luck again!

Of course we are not afraid of any team but I do not really like to play against West Country Wyverns. Last year, before we played against them, I said that they are one of the most underrated teams in the league and then we lost 03:30. Puhhh, I was knocked down after that game because I didn`t expected such a huge loss. Their DE's punished our offense and we played like a bunch of chickens in panic. The performence of their DE's looks good again in this season. But may we know a way to handle this... ;-). We will see. Of course I am happy about every win, but this is one of the games I would be very happy to win because that would be a sign that we steped up this season.
Let's have a good and thrilling game.

Game of the week:Recap
West Country Wyverns beats Toulouse Aviators 13-3

Wow..great playing by West Country. The Wyverns's controlled the line of scrimmage from the beginning, and held the Aviators to 50 yards on the ground. When Toulouse turned to the pass, Ryan O'Callahan was in the QBs face all day long. Great defensive performance by West Country.

Thanks for the congrats Trent.

And I agree with Ted, big win for West Country and Armagh got a little scare from Dublin.

Needless to say next week is a huge week for Alpha standings

Bonn vs Manchester
Armagh vs Eurotrash
Steel City vs Toulose

So, Ted, which one of those games is the game of the week?

and West Country gets the Slackers and they'll gain some ground.

Will be examining the matchups a little later. I want to give a little more time for people to comment on today's games, but you're right about next game day being a crazy one.

What exactly do you think the Slackers owner is doing? Is he waiting on a bunch of high level guys contracts to run out so next year he can dominate the A league, or does he just enjoy having his shit pushed in week after week. By the way lineman in this league really like Cake..lol.

he's just using a team to try and up his stats and get as much xp as he can for his one player.

The interesting thing is that we were able to put together an effort that was backed not only by O'Callahan but that had linebackers back playing pass with picks to show for it. Tip of the hat to the Aviators for another great game!
