In an attempt to market their star WR, Freddie Mitchell, the UN Peacekeepers today released a new section of their website showcasing photos of the People's Champ at various events.
A spokesman for the UN squad said today, "We feel that, with all the marketing that has been done by less talented players than the Sultan of Slot, it was a good opportunity to showcase how Freddie really is the People's Champ. He is beloved by the fans, especially of the female variety, and is the reason why the #84 Peacekeepers jersey is currently the hottest selling item among female Elephant Conference fans."
Asked if this was in any way a shot at Dirty Dirt Diggler, the RB who is currently in hiding, the spokesman refused to comment.
However, Mitchell himself wasn't as tight-lipped. "D3 is all talk, but his fanbase doesn't go beyond his obsessive owner Lord Thomas Drake," Mitchell told our reporter while watching highlights of the Peacekeepers' blowout win over Dakar on his 60 inch plasma TV. "I'm the real People's Champ. My name is known worldwide. Everywhere I go, people thank me for my hands. I'm a special player. This only proves it."
He went on to say, "I'd like to give a shout-out to my man Steve Urkel, we had some great times with Hugh at the Mansion, to my girl Liz Hurley (call me!), and to all the ladies out there who had boyfriends, I didn't know beforehand, and I'm sorry! But yeah, check out the website, it's good stuff"
