Sahara Sandstorm 27 d. Algeria Tigers 7
Algeria is finally through this murderous stretch of their schedule. Out of their 6 games, they've played the four teams that look to be in the lead for home playoff games and a bubble team! Coming out of that stretch a 2-4 while not good, is a something to build upon as they enter the softer stretch. Sahara played this one well winning the turnover battle by three and their run defense was stout as always. They face a much tougher test in WV next week.

Gambia Piranhas 20 d. Monterey Magic 17
What an exciting game! The second OT game this week. Monterey finally got things rolling offensively, it's too bad they turned the ball over three times which led to this loss. Gambia has to be pleased to steal this win. Gambia was down 17-0 at one point and exploded with 20 unanswered points to win it in overtime after a clutch interception. If Gambia wants to make the playoffs the next game against Algeria is key as the wins will start to dry up as their second half schedule toughens considerably. Monterey can look ahead two weeks to their first win against Ethiopia.

West Virginia MountainMen 17 d. Tripoli Leathernecks 0
After failing to seal the deal against Zambia or Zimbabwe, WV returns to their winning ways with a crushing run defense. Both teams got a little turnover happy, however only Tripoli's were costly. The opening play KO fumble set up a short field TD by WV and a pick by WV early in the 2nd left only 40 yards for WV's only two TDs on the day. WV has a chance to show they deserve a home playoff game against Sahara and then exit to the weaker part of their schedule. Tripoli desperately needs a win next week before facing Zambia, Zimbabwe and Sahara in three of the next four after that.

Salty Shellback 23 d. Zulu Warriors 0
Salty already knew they had a good defense, hopefully they can build on this win and breathe some life into their offense. Salty is sitting pretty at 4-2, but they really need the next two games to stay in the playoff hunt before entering a tough portion of their schedule.

NEXT WEEK
What a great week upcoming!
Zambia vs Zimbabwe
WV vs Sahara
Ethiopia vs Zulu

Some very exciting games as our FOUR PERFECT TEAMS put their records on the line!
