So in conclusion.... Silver 1 will be won by a team from the East not either of yours

Copper 3 legends in S14 and St Augestine chargers in S15, then Loretto in S16, LIK PW in S17, SOA in S18, BGW in S19...

Had to look up the legends but other than that I was good

I agree Gerr. But it is probably too hard to police. And those guys pay for their teams like everyone else. So it is pretty hard to from a business stand point to say no. I think everyone would like to have 32 competitive unique teams. I just don't think there is enough talent and/or people willing to pay the money to make that happen. Too bad because that would probably be a lot of fun.

This is why I made that post several seasons ago saying I didn't think it was a good idea to allow gold owners/coaches on multiple teams. I got shit on because of that post so I dropped the subject, but what I feared would happen is starting to happen. Since people can now own multiple PW teams, including Gold teams, the best owners/coaches will find themselves on more and more Gold teams to where the talent pool in Gold will be minimal and that makes it that much harder for new talent to break into Gold. And what might happen this season, is that an owner/coach with the best recipe for a particular season will find their MULTIPLE teams dominating all season and might play themselves in the championship game.

I simply don't like this. I like one team, one owner/coaching staff, period! This allows new talent to come in and develop in Gold. And if one team has my number in a certain season, I don't want to have to face that same coaching staff and system multiple times!

A possible example that could happen this season is what if a team makes it to the West conference final game against The Philosophers and is able to beat them to face Maine Grenadiers. Since both teams are own/run by the same person, RK, he now has a decided advantage in the championship game because of his experience against that team. Or what if both of RK's teams make it to the championship game, how uneventful of a championship game would that be? Sorry RK, not picking on you, it's just that you are the first person that can make my fears from a few seasons ago come true.

Sorry for the thread jack rant, just wanted to get that off my chest...

Running more than 1 team at this high a level of competition is nothing that I would consider "easy to do".... before you bitch and moan about how unfair it is, try to achieve it yourself, then let us all know how unfair it is after all the work it would take to get there.

Never said it was easy, only that those in Gold have the experience in doing so and have taken a team from Silver to Gold, and have a very good chance of doing it again and again.

What fear? The philosophers is a no/no and I don't spend a dime on that team. With your usual one-man all boost/CE team you could have fielded 10 of them with your money.

Gerr I actually agree with you when you said you want a 32 team league with all different coordinators but there is nothing "fair" about GLB. Like someone mentioned above, it's a business and they are going to cater to agents that spend the most money.
I like PW, why? Even though it's tough you can overcome those disadvantage to a certain extent with superior tactics and game planning skills.

You talk about me having decisive advantage but it's quite the opposite if you have been actually following my teams. Since we participate in so many tournaments, we are actually exposed to scouting and having a 2nd team would only make things worse. LE is right, it goes both ways.

As for Maine, it's a team made up of multiple agents. We have reduced it to around 10 recently but throughout our career it was pretty much in the 15-20 range. We constantly had problem with builds almost every season. I think it was S16 when someone accidentally dumped the initial SP on the wrong attribute and we had to retire them and build new ones around day 3-4. These are minor compare to what happened recently where we had to retire players on day 20. It happened last season with BNI and it's happening again with Maine and we are down to 52-man roster. Stuff like this makes me want to quit but it is what it is. You don't see me threaten to do something about it.

If you really want a fair environment and want to develop new guys, you should start first. That is to reduce your players to around 10 and recruit rest of the players with new agents. No, not the pw guys but agents that has never been part of PW. This is how I started with Maine and still the core agents of our team are the ones I recruited back in S12-S13. I also recruited Moogz who ended up owning his own team. He recruited a lot of guys that ended up buying their own teams as well.

talent pool in Gold will be minimal and that makes it that much harder for new talent to break into Gold.

Agreed. As long as you don't have other agenda in your mind then that's the way to go. I'll be looking forward to 30-40 agents team from you next season

As for now, enjoy the superbowl, I'm picking the Steelers

It's looking pretty good for TIA ... Silver 4 seems to be rolling over and playing dead for the most part.
