I'm thinking its a Ballhawk problem, they break for the ball even though they are the over the top coverage, but since they don't look like they are in zone coverage, and the man is covered, they make a play on the ball, or at least try to.

I'm having more of a problem with the fact that the CB almost went into a zone defence, because the TE got loose from his two defenders...

As much as I know, that you are looking for a problem in the sim. I do belive its the build with Ball Hawk... There are times when Ballhawk is detrimental to a defence.

So, my ruling on this is gonna be

I am going to go ahead and say I agree.

Ballhawk on a player with 46 Jumping could make for some interesting mistakes.

I don't see this as widespread as you would think it would be if it was a huge BUG.

Something like this on a wide scale would bring a bunch of attention to these forums and it's not happening.

I'm thinking you have some players with build issues, and the wrong VA's for their builds.

Verifying this as NOT A BUG.

To do this I will need to mark as NEEDS COORDINATOR for review.

Ballhawk gives a boost to speed agility and vision from the moment the ball is released. That has nothing to do with jumping whatsoever.

If the problem was that these players didn't get a deflection, then jumping would be an issue. Clearly someone with low jumping would miss deflections.

The real issue is that the players are out of position because they are going for interceptions when they should not, please don't lose track of that


It is not a build issue, it is not a tactics issue.

Also, I'd just like to add that our man-to-man cornerbacks have ballhawk and are set to aggressive for interceptions, but they are NOT making the jump and getting out of position like these zone-semi-aggressive players are.

3 players in the vicinity of the ball: FS (semi-aggressive) MLB (aggressive) CB (aggressive)
Of the 3 players, the only one who repositions himself to make an attempt for an INT is the FS.... when he should stay back for a deflection.

edit: just realized the CB was pump faked which may be a factor in his poor allignment. But even after that, he is the one credited for the deflection...
