I have 2 LB's that I have retired and started all over with their builds by building on the speed but it seems to me that they sure miss alot of tackles,so the question is do I work on something besides speed?

they are level 6... you are lucky your dots move around at all yet.

in general you want to take your #1 attribute to a high cap and not worry about anything else. take it as high enough you never put points there again.

68, 73, or 77 depending on what you want him to do.

For a LB though you will need quite a few attributes to stay dominant. That being said, only go to 77 if you have a DC that will cater to a pass rush LB only, otherwise he will be lack in other areas.

Go to 73 if you want a guy that can really get after it in the speed department.

Go 68 if you are needing many attributes to go very high such as jumping and catching for a coverage type guy.

Like I said, all depends on what you want. An elite speed guy will not be the best tackler or have the best vision to actually play the game, but he will get after the QB better than the others (for example)

I'd say 77 is the minimum regardless. Really depends on the build type. But speed will always rule in the upper leagues.
Blitzing LB's require a lot more than 77 to start with. Just fyi
