MLB is set TE>Zone so he is obviously m2m with the TE.
CB4 is FB Strong>HB Strong>TE>Zone so he is obviously m2m on the TE as well.

Cushion is 1 yard in the package that contains this play. Dot specific tactic can't account for the approximate 3 yard gap between the CB and MB.

LB = 80 agility in this one, CB = 90. Lets assume the CB is as 100 (1 yard) and I know for a fact the package is set at 1 yard (I DC this team and there is only one package that has this play). The MLB is set at 1 yard in the package as well. So there is no reason the MLB should be THAT far from the TE, much less the CB. I could buy your agility arguement if on this play the TE tried to close the ground eventually but he stays on a straight line.

I highly doubt GLB is coded like that. If it is, I'm off to the suggestions forum to say "make coverage settings do what what they say they do"

He may also be reading that it is a pass and thus his first tick is back instead of forward for a run play.

one tick of movement does not explain the ~10 yard cushion

In all the examples you provided the agility is very substandard (and im assuming these dots have 120+ speed) which means there is a 40 point gap on speed/agilty. If the first step is back, it could be that they leave even more coverage cushion to make up for it simply because they can't slow as fast.

The replay that intrigues me is the one where the CB follows laterally along the plane. What's that CBs individual setting?

Will get the CB's settings for the prior replays.

Another great example: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1445149&pbp_id=10391198 Why doesn't the ROLB close on the HB? He just kind of hangs out 3-4 yards away. Agility = 90+

While here, same ROLB goes right at HB: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1445149&pbp_id=10391575 (different play)

Hmm interesting. Since it's the same ROLB, it could be a few things.

1) Bug
2) Difference between passed/failed vision check
3) the first one doesn't last long. It's possible he saw the pass wasn't headed his way before he got out there and took off. Not sure.

I don't think this one is quite enough to make a move on definitively saying its a bug. I'd lean towards no on this one.

But let me know as soon as u find that CBs settings cuz that one is one that definitely could be a bug.

Why? The large "cushion" happens on every play formation AFAIK and not just weak I with the sideline route. Granted that route is also pretty bugged since the coverage man hardly ever shadows the TE when he cuts, but that's a whole 'nother issue/bug, IMO.

This was a bug filed here: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4314940

We closed it for the following reasons:

In evaluating games currently being played (and the replays posted in this thread), GLB has determined that the code is working as intended in regards to coverage with LB'ers at semi-aggressive against TE's. One thing to consider is the settings you set for the DPC play. Place the LB'er closer to the line of scrimmage and set to cover man w/o move. Like this:

http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=3237&pbp_id=697993
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=3237&pbp_id=697994
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=3237&pbp_id=697995

Closing as not a bug.

Basically, if you have a LB set to cover man, it will place the LB at that distance by default/design. If you want the LB'er closer you need to set them to cover man w/o move.
