Well that sucked, I went 2-2 in my game #8 picks, and now I am 25-7 on the season. 50% success ratio is great in baseball, but for prognosticating football games; it equates to losing money. Game #1. Arizona Wildcards (5-3, 25/26) vs Gotham Knights (3-5, 24/23). The Wildcards are most likely a playoff team this season. It isn’t for lack of effort, but lack of talent, and in this league this season, it will be a long season for Gotham. Game #2. Gaul Visigoths (6-2, 26/27) vs Greenland Husky (5-3, 25/26). I wonder if the term “Goth” is based on the Visigoths? I really never understood the whole Goth thing. Game #3. Bridgeport Bulldogs (5-3, 24/26) vs Soo Sabercatz (5-3, 24/24). I like this match-up; we have the catz vs the dogs. That is sooo cool! Game #4. The Game of the Day!! Oh yeah baby, here we go. Dark Phoenix (8-0, 23/28) vs Los Alamos (7-1, 26/28). The Phoenix get back to back tough games, lucky them. I already gave a scouting report on the Phoenix, but I can add a few things. Against the Outlaws, they gave up 3.3 yds per rush, but 7.7 yds per pass. They also ran the ball about 63% of the time, and passed 37% of the time. They also were behind 28-14 at the half and did not allow a single point in the 2nd half. That is impressive. As for the Engineers, I have some inside info on them. According to the owners, they have several candy-ass cheerleaders playing for them. I probably would have picked the Engineers to beat the Dark, if they had a cool name like this.
