Usually a dive towards the ball is more about aggressive setting. I only see it on that setting tbh.

I've seen it on Medium. Only posted one replay, though so it's sitting in NMI right now.

It's just a stupid angle to deflect or intercept the pass that needs to be fixed.

Yeah it can happen since semi aggressive players can go for the pick. It's not all that common though.

I almost always set one or two of my CB's to aggressive every game, and those players make the dive move towards an intercept point. I have never seen that with my guys on semi. I'm not saying that is doesn't happen, I just haven't seen it on my guys.

looks like the CB tries to bite off more than he can chew! ...I would assume that an agressive setting wouldn't be the ideal setting for that sort of scenario

Seems like CB (usually set to aggressive) is going for a pick.

Safeties and CBs have been doing this for a couple of seasons now, irregardless if their settings are on aggressive or semi-aggressive.

Coverage is all kinds of jerky, these jumps are just a glaring indication.

Except when they go for the pick, they typically go in front of the WR along the path of the ball and then the ball goes over them.

I'm guessing CB1 has Ball Hawk here.... not my team, but definitely misjudges the direction of the pass.

Not sure if I should start a new thread about this, but it definitely carries on with where this thread has gone.

It looks like somehow Bort may have messed up the intercept point calculations for DBs. This is another example with no other player in the area. The players are heading to the offensive right of the ball.

Something that may be interesting is whether or not examples can be found of the defenders miscalculating the angle to the left, or if it is always to the right.

Per Bort this is working as intended. Closing as issue determined not a bug.

Sometimes the receiver just reacts better than the defender to the pass position.
