I want to build a team of non-boosters and bring them up through the levels. It's a just for fun team of all my own players. But there are no Cap-4 Minors teams available, so wondering what my best option is?

Should I buy a higher level team now and request a demotion? How does that work exactly?

Should I wait until day 41 when teams expire and try to grab a Cap-4 Minors team then, pending one becomes available?

Should I wait until all teams are processed in the off season and hope there is a cap-4 Minors available then?


What's my best option?

Not really. With 3 league types per level, Elite, Competitive, and Normal, the non-boosting teams will usually find themselves in the Normal leagues with other non-boosting teams. Not expecting this team to do well against fully boosted teams, but it should hold it's own against partially boosted teams and should dominate most non-boosted teams.

Just buy a high level team and get demotion to level 4. That's what we did last season and we are dominating!

Whats the process to request a demotion and is it guaranteed? Don't want to be stuck with a higher level team if I am not guaranteed a demotion.

On day 40/41 you make sure you have no one on your roster and then you put in a request to support for demotion to level 4!!! And on team page on day 41 you should have that option also.
