I already told him that I will reduce his rights to LOL-GM and run the team for that single game so he doesn't have to worry about two of his teams playing each other. My Bears team wont enter any tourneys in S19, so we won't face LB more than once, not including any possible playoff games. We are also developing an offense together that should differ from Lunch Box's offense as I don't want the two offenses to be clones.

I have my auto-pilot offense and defense saved on TIA, so I won't get burned other than a possible couple losses before I catch on. But I am running under the presumption that they are not the same person and thus that shouldn't happen. I have made my feelings clear to him as to what I expect from him and what I won't tolerate, so only time will tell...

Everyone has their doubts, and a decent amount of signs point to a disaster for your team.

But if it works out, more power to you for taking the risk and having it pay off.

Tomlinator has made very few posts and this one is very toned down from the normal Perma/EDB posts. There are other subtle differences I have noticed while speaking to him, so I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I already discussed with him that I won't tolerate Perma/EDB type of posts, but I don't see anything wrong with this one. Perma's posts were very ego driven and straight forward, and very arrogant, where this one is more subtle, and I think a little clever.

Even if Tomlinator turns out to be a Perma and/or EDB alt, if he does well for my team and doesn't draw negative attention to my team with Perma style posts, I have no issues keeping him. But until it's proven that he is the same person as Perma and/or EDB, I will continue under the presumption that he is a different person.

What risk am I really taking? All the players will be mine and he only has access to the depth chart and offense. If it works out, my team should do better than my auto-pilot offense would do. If it doesn't, I remove him as my OC and implement my auto-pilot offense.

I understand the doubts everyone has, I am not blind. I just like to give people the benefit of the doubt and allow them to prove themselves or dig their own grave. If he says he isn't Perma or EDB, then I need a lot more than some circumstantial evidence before I believe he is lying to everyone. Plus someone already reported him to the admins as a multi and they cleared him. I know there are ways around that, but it's a positive check mark towards his story.

Plus is he was Perma's alt, I would expect him to be screaming about his innocence, but he hasn't said a peep, very un-Perma like.

I'm sure Gerr can appreciate what everyone is trying to do here as I did before him with EDB and then Permastoned. Who really cares tho? I can assure you there are no secrets in Gerrs offensive ai that Stoner would have possibly wanted to emulate. The value of the '85 Bears is in their defense and that is something Gerr just wouldn't blindly give access to. If Tomlinator is able to make his team better, then great for the both of them. We already know Gerr isn't afraid to can a coordinator and take the tasks upon himself either if need be.

I do not now nor have I ever thought Permastoned was EDB. The two have had conversations with one another on my forum and later on skype before EDB left the game. Thats an awful elaborate web to weave for the oh so lucky reward of running my defense and special teams at the same time. They were two seperate accounts with plenty of flex/dots/teams between them and its just a lil far fetched imo.

I've been in contact with Stoner since the last time he logged in and as far as I know he is taking care of real life issues and I wish him nothing but the best. As far as Tomlinator being Stoner, who knows. I know some of the GMs we were bringing on board to teach/audition after being eliminated from last seasons playoffs came from the same line of thought that EDB was proliferating before he left. He could be Mary Queen of Scots for all I care. If he can understand the way those guys were thinking with their crazy analytical math based approach and win then I'll call him whatever he wants.

I have a feeling you'll regret not taking me up on my offer that was genuine. I really would have coordinated your team.

To a point. The O has been altered beyond what I would recognize as my own. He is more than comfortable working with both ai's. I'd hope he comes up with something original for Gerr either way. Only so much room at the top of the passing stats

I am letting him do his own thing on my team, but I am slightly nudging him towards certain things I have learned that work. I am just trying to make sure that the offense he implements on my team and what he runs on LB are not carbon copies.
