yeah, audibles, and then you could set up an audible chart out of each formation 1 run 1 pass or something like that to switch to if the QB checks out of the play

I also kinda like the set where every position would be like the QB1 and QB2 as well. I mean if you had a LOT1 and LOT 2 you could use each one in a specific set up and have a pass blocking LOT along with a run blocking LOT. I think that would also help counter act the rushing the QB part as well even if we dont get the OPC i like the DC changing to that as well.

only problem is that you could become very easy to predict on offense with all those custom slots, basically you'd have a run team and a pass team

That is true but if you have a blocker set for pass or run blocking it would help give it a bonus rather then having everyone set for run blockign and hoping your passing game is good enough. I just think the offense needs to be more diverse like the defense. Its really not hard to game plan against a team when you look at the offensive plays that they have. Its really just how you build your players now.

Here's my take on it.

I don't like. To begin with I've never used the exploits. I've always thought it was cheating in a way. I figure if I can't stop and offense on my own I shouldn't be a DC. That said.....Here's why I hate the idea:

1. Offenses are already too powerful and hard to stop as it is. In this league, 90% of every team at this level runs the ball. Exploits would have no effect. It only effects the upper levels. So look at the upper levels. In WL the scores are off the chart. One game was like 121-104. That's an NBA score not a football score. There are very few games where scoring is low. Offenses aren't being that affected by exploits.

2. The people who are complaining are OC's...Obviously. But the reason is that they haven't figured out that if you put your TE to the weak side and/or keep a FB or HB in to block, the exploit doesn't work. They have to take time to game plan. They're lazy and want it to be easy.

3. DC's look for ways to exploit the weaknesses of an offense. Offenses don't know where blitzes are coming for the most part in RL, it's a guess, and they have to adjust. In all reality, it isn't an unfair advantage if the DC takes advantage of a weakness. It's up to the offense to adjust. Again scout

4. DPC is already limited. DE's lining up 2 yards outside of an OT is a legit formation....That said, You can't run a flex defense because of limitations, You can't run a bear 46 because of limitations, You can't run a 52 because of limitations, you can't run a true Nickel back because of limitations, you can't split your LB's wide left or Right because of limitations, we can't designate gaps to blitz, holes to plug, or stunts to run....etc.....The defense is already limited and they are consistently getting blasted because of it.

5. No one is crying about the issues on defense. Pathing issues, Zone issues, WR blocking, 1 guy blocking 2 or sometimes even 3 guys.....etc...No one is crying about the ridiculous amount of spins and power thru's and guys catching passes in double and sometimes triple coverage.

6. DC's shouldn't be penalized for poor game design. They're not fixing the issue and keeping the game competitive. They're band aiding it and taking away part of the fun of this game. It's already a struggle as it is to contain these juggernaughts, give us a bone already and fix the blocking code. Don't just decide to limit an already beaten down defense.

7. I'm tired of OC's whining about how bad they've got it. I mean seriously here are what we've seen:

a. Whine - HB's aren't elusive enough. Fix - 4 sometimes 5 spins and don't slow down
b. Whine - PB's aren't powerful enough. Fix - Power Thru enhanced ala season 8
c. Whine - DE's are sacking the QB too much Fix - nerfed their rush
d. Whine - WR's aren't catching the ball enough Fix - they now catch it in double and triple coverage
e. Whine - My Oline isn't blocking well enough Fix - Do away with or limit DPC so that everyman is blocked
f. Whine - There's 11 guys between us and the endzone Fix - Do away with or limit the DPC so that every man is blocked.


I want the game to be as realistic as possible, unfortunately, scores like 104 to 121 aren't realistic and frankly boring to watch. I'd much rather watch a defensive struggle than an offensive explosion. Keeps you on your seat. Guys miss blocks in the NFL all of the time, why shouldn't they in GLB? I will only support this if they nerf the offense and keep WR's from catching balls in heavy traffic or multiple coverage, Zones are fixed so that your safeties actually react to the run instead of just going to a zone and when in a zone players actually cover guys who go through it, HB's don't put on their capes and plow over defenders, and WR becoming super blockers....blocking 2 and 3 guys at a time. Fix the issues with the defense and then you can limit our movement on the DPC otherwise leave it alone.

A team i am on i saw a guy block two CBs at one time how that can happen who knows.
