Great write up. However, Dirty is getting a bit hyped up. No disrespect to Mike at all, as he's put together one hell of a team the last 2 seasons and is 14-0, which is what counts. However, if you look at his games, the bad teams are what he struggles with.
PNP (#8 seed) - 28-21, could've easily been the first loss for DI, as they struggled for most of the game and some AI mistakes really cost them.
Lunch Box (#7 seed) - 35-28. Score was closer than the game, however, this is the type of team that they need to blow out or win against big time to prove superiority. DI outplayed them pretty well, outgaining them by 100 yards and controlled more clock.
HHM (No seed) - 28-24. This was a game that really belonged to HHM. But again, DI proves why there are 2 halves. A late PR in the 4th turned the game and DI pulled out a win that was owned by HHM, as they outgained them by 150 yards.
Montipeller (East, #7 seed ATM) - 28-21 in OT. Another game that could've easily gone to Montipeller, but to DI's credit they did outplay them late in the game and that's all that mattered.
Again, these are teams they are supposed to win against convincingly.
My take on this seasons schedules and close games as follows;
vs Montpellier - 28-21, This was a typical game from Montpellier and we have seen this game plan from them several times. You always have to defend the QB run against them and eventually they break one. This time of the season builds are terribad, combined with a Season 16 Defense = a close game. Grind it out on the ground and control TOP = a win in a close game.
vs PNP - 28-21, We didnt change up the passing game much after the Pimps game and ZM game planned well shutting down the Scat Back passing game attack. Unfortunately for them someone didn't check their OAI very well. For this game there had been little changes installed in the Season 16 Defense. It was PNP's game to lose and they did.
vs HHM, 28-24, This time of the season the Sim doesn't like me. Level 6-7 ish my passing game does not exist. HHM played good Defense and almost got the win. i didn't game plan much for this game, there was no reason to think HHM was going to try and show up for this game, bu they did get inspired because of my 17-0 thread and installed a Defense to stop us. They did a good job. It was about this point in the season when most of the new Defense was complete, still tweeking going on.
vs Lunch Box 35-28, TBH the games score was closer than the game itself. We found holes in the LB Defense and pounded the rock. After this game Lunch Box has murdered their opponents. With some pretty strong wins in tournament games. this team is not anything to look past.
Last thing I want to mention is Player building has a huge impact early on in the season. Early in the season my builds are shit. I'm extremely lucky to have made it through the schedule to this point undefeated.
