Warrior General Games

I predict that I don't know shit about who will advance in the playoffs. Last season I thought we had a team full of awesome builds with good coordinators and found away to drop about every meaningful pass of the game. It seems to be 2 times a season where the SIm bothers my style of play 1) around Lvl 6 to 7 when passing becomes fubarred for 2 games and then the playoffs.

Lunch Box gets about as much respect as a 7-6 team deserves. I'm ok with that. I find it more insulting when people say things like respect isn't earned over nite and you'll get your comeuppance during the playoffs and you new school guys got alot of learning to do or we coulda/woulda/shoulda won but..... or whatever cliche you want to throw at me. Reread what I said in the post. I actually said you guys are underrated. Obviously respect isn't earned over night and it has to be earned through consistent winning over longer period of time. You see too often people get high over one win and throw a tantrum
and make a big deal about it, and only later to get demolished in a game that actually counts.

This isn't directed to you but I know there are some guys that make big deal out of every meaningless games won and then come up with some of the most absurd excuses in the world, later when they lose.

I believe Maine has been a consistent winner for the last 5 seasons but we don't get that much respect either but you don't see me complaining. 85' Bears is mocked for being 0-5 in playoff despite their other success. It's just the way it is in gold and it seems like only the few teams or owners get unanimous respect. Might seem harsh but it also means there are no bandwagon fans here in gold.

You guys are looking real strong in the second half, and despite what people think of permastoned, he has improved immensely as a head coach/ coordinator every season. I used to think he was overrated but I think he is pretty good now. So you guys definitely do have puncher's chance.

However don't expect all these teams to just hand you the trophy for free. It's going to be a tough ride and if you don't think so you are up for a rude awakening, as mike put it.

On a side note, this is also a good opportunity for every team in the west because gruppo/mccollums/duppraes decided to take a season off. They are absolutely terrifying in playoff games.

West:
I would have to go with Dirty INC. Even back in silver league, they were known for beating gold league teams.
They were actually like one of the very few silver teams that played like gold teams. I also think they are
the most balanced team. They have been running a lot more but they can pass equally well. Superior
builds and being the only agent helps too.

And then I would have to say Bears, BSBR, and Lunch Box all have equal chances. UT and PnP would
be the wild card and could definitely surprise a lot of people, but I personally think they need more experience.
Zmj is like a sponge though and only 12? Looks like it's just matter of time before he becomes an elite coordinator.

Teams like Final Thought would definitely be in the mix as well but since they decided to remain
no/no I left them out.

East:
SBWL or FG. Those two teams standout the most and they play exceptionally well in playoff games.
No explanation needed for those two teams. Wildcard would be the crackertown. They
have boosted/CE at the last moment. I don't know if they share builds with surlygoats but they have
the best DBs in the league and they look eerily similar. That was also the case back when they won
it all in S16.

Don't rule out the Fat Chicks. We've had a long term plan that we've sorta gambled on. We were no/no for most of the season, CE'd right around the time everyone else was boosting, and will be boosting at the last possible minute for our round one game. We lost to #2 seed Long Island (who was boosted) by 7 and Mont Wildcats (also boosted) by 13.

And, for the record, please believe I'm not clamoring for respect. You already tossed some my way when you said SBWL looks good (I'm the OC over there as well) so this isn't about respect. I'm just trying to keep the dialogue going.

I think the interesting thing will be the top 4 (in my opinion) and how they match up. I believe FCH will be a top 4 team come playoff time. I've always matched up poorly with FG, FG always matches up poorly with Maine, I've had decent success with Maine. I think SB will be better equipped to take Maine and I might have an answer for FG with FCH. If you wanna throw Crackertown into the mix, I don't think they will fare as well in the post-Dony era (just based on the comments JStrong has made about Dony's influence in the past) and I think LIK will struggle due to being a rookie gold squad, though they certainly won't be underestimated by anyone with that #2 seed.

I'm so ready for the playoffs to get here. Cruise Control is getting boooooooring.

I've picked the gold league champion for the past 3 seasons correctly from day 1, I am sticking by the Bears.

Yep, the only reason why I left fat chicks out is I didn't think they would boost. If they do decide to boost, they are definitely
up there in the mix. Fat chicks are basically the epitome of what a new school team looks like. They are no doubt one of the best up and coming teams.

But wow, this new rental CE thing has really helped the competition get back on track. That's good news, since I really thought
the gold league will be dead in a season or two.

Yeah, we will be boosting Raph. Thanks for the kind words my friend but I doubt we have what it takes. There has been a lot of talk about scouting. But for a team like Bleed's and I, it really comes down to just that. Our builds are as good or better than any other team, our game planning has been the ? mark. We have handled our self's well considering the team's we have lost to all being boosted.

Playoff's are not a mirror image of the regular season. I really can't project what will happen. I can see our team going out in the 1st round or making it to the league championship game. If I had to put my money on it it? Short Butts or FG will take the East.
