Jacksonville has always been tough against the run. I am not sure if this season will be any different.

Buffalo will probably lose to Miami and have to pass the ball to stay in the game 3rd and 4th quarters.

My pick Evans.

Non PPR league so regular fantasy scoring.

Having some difficulty deciding who to start at my flex this weekend.

Knowshon Moreno vs Jacksonville

Or

Lee Evans vs Miami

My gut is saying Evans with Gailey running the O there and with Moreno's hamstring in question. Your thoughts?

I don't think Moreno has really played this preseason. Many people suspected they were covering up for a torn hamstring. I hate Lee Evans -- with a passion. That guy has burned me too many times when I've played him. He's going to see double teams, and I think Buffalo will try to run or throw to the backs (mainly Spiller). As much of a gamble as it is, I say take Moreno. We do know that if he can play, Denver will give him the rock a bunch.

Few, kind of stupid, questions I have:

Flacco (BAL) at Jets
or
Anderson (ARI) at Rams

Revis is going to shut down Anquan.
Cromartie is going to shut down Mason.

Who should I start?

I feel that Flacco should be the "no, duh-start me" option...but I don't know...

Keep in mind that Revis has been gone all preseason, meaning he may need a week or so to get his conditioning back up to game speed. I'm a Raven's fan and I've actually heard possibilities of the Ravens going right at Revis attempting to tire him out by the end of the game. That strategy is definitely hit or miss. Baltimore also has 3 very capable TEs of making big plays, the leading receiving RB in Ray Rice, plus our WRs.

I'd still go with Flacco although I realize it's a tougher pick than many people would think.

Hmmm, let's think about this for a second. I'll ask a trivia question. What do Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and David Garrard have in common?

Give up? All of them scored more fantasy points than Joe Flacco last season. Yes, that David Garrard. I pulled my main league QB rankings from last season. Garrard was 15th and Flacco 16th for QB's. Flacco is hardly a stud. Anderson isn't hat far removed from the great season he had when Cleveland had a line and pass catchers. Guess what -- he has both in Arizona. On top of that, he has an outstanding matchup, but I digress. Let's play more trivia.

Let's go multiple choice. Which team was the NFL's best defense in 2009 against the pass, the rush, and overall defense?

a) New York Jets
b) New York Jets
c) New York Jets
d) New York Jets

Lol, you don't think Flacco's skill alone has improved at all from last year? . Boldin, Mason, and Housh is most definitely a step up from Derrick Mason and Mark Clayton. With the drastically improved group of receivers and the maturing of Flacco, there's no way I see him outside the top 10 QBs stat-wise this season, I guess I could be wrong though. It's going to be an awesome game and I am fucking pumped!

btw, the jets were 8th in rush D last year.

oh, and I have 2 decisions to make a WR and TE. It's Mike Sims-Walker vs Denver or Lee Evans vs Miami and Tony Gonzalez vs Pittsburgh or Zach Miller vs Tennessee

Woops, sorry, 8th in defense, 1st in offense. I was posting quickly Flacco will definitely be improved, but don't count on TJ to be a major contributor right away -- he still has to learn the playbook. Mason is as sure-handed as anyone in the league. Bouldin is a playmaker for sure, but just think the Jets D will be too tough for Flacco to go crazy down the field. I do think he'll throw to Rice and the TE a ton. I just think that The Cards are a pass first, pass second, and short pass third team. I personally hope Rice goes for about 120 yards, 7 receptions, and 4 TD's since I have him on one of my teams. LOL

I love hearing how people think that Revis will be out of shape. A player of his caliber will not be out of shape and does not need an entire training camp/preseason to be ready.

Reports show that he's been SOLID in the practices that he's been in recently.

He'll be just fine.

Very true. If we were talking about a O-Lineman or D-Lineman, sure, conditioning might be an issue. Revis is a very young and very good CB, so I doubt conditioning will be an issue. He may be a bit rusty, but he'll be in fine shape.

I'd still go Flacco though

It's really impossible to tell, practice isn't nearly the same as game speed but you guys may be right. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Back to my original post, i had more options then i remembered..

I need to start 3 WR's, 2 RB's and 1 Flex position (WR or RB)

I have...

WR-DeSean Jackson vs GB
WR-Chad Ochocinco @ NE
WR-Pierre Garcon @ HOU
WR-Donald Driver @ PHI
WR-Roy Williams @ WAS

RB-Maurice Jones Drew vs DEN
RB-Michael Turner @ PITT
RB-Cedric Benson @ NE
RB-Clinton Portis vs DAL

Im leaning towards starting MJD, Turner and Benson for the RB and Flex spots and Jackson, Ochocinco for 2 of the WR spots but cant decide on the 3rd WR. I figure i wait to see if Portis ever gets back to the form he had a few seasons ago b4 i start him. Roy Williams is a ? b/c you neva know wat hes gonna do after last seasons' down season. I think all of my 3 last WR's are gonna have good weeks regardless...thoughts, opinions, thanks

hmmmm so you think Benson is a better play this week then Turner b/c hes playing against Pitt's Defense? Benson is playing against NE's defense which isnt as good as Pitt's, but still tough matchups anyway u play it for those 2 studs. I think Garcon is also the safe bet...really wanna trade Turner and get anotha RB of lesser value and a QB for him if i can, im not thrilled about him

Didnt state if its PPR league but even so, I like Benson over Turner. Pitt has a god defense but not like in seasons past. I would play Turner in the flex spot over Roy Williams any day. GB spreads the wealth too much and Driver is another day older.

This. LE gave the best play of those guys. That's a pretty nice stable of players too. Nice draft!
