Yeah, that season you could argue that top 1-5 teams in GLB were in the same conference. If I remember correct, the other conference had one team (Lincoln?) that was tough. But those five teams were clearly head and shoulders above rest of the conference and likely 14 or 15 teams from the other conference.

The depth of quality teams this season is definitely higher, but I think a lot has to do with extended plateau.

The team in the other Conference was MoD. Lincoln was clearly the 2nd best team in the Conference, and likely the 7th best in the game at the time, and bhall will probably get mad still that you aren't giving Lincoln their due. But yah, that season the Conferences were sincerely stacked. Dakar was in Zeta that season, and I believe that's the only season I've been a part of the easy Conference, which was nice. We didn't game plan from like just before Christmas until the playoffs (with the exception being the Lincoln game, which I game planned for, but head didn't), and still got a home playoff game.

Doesn't matter which conference is better, only which team is best. HHWC = best team in WL, so Alpha had best team in GLB this season.
