Welcome back ladies and gents and what an interesting year in GLB this has been. From the who deys to the WTF is wrong's GLB's Alpha Conference has stood head and shoulders above the rest of the game as the best looking, hardest hitting and all around most entertaining conference in the entire game. So, without further ado here's your updates on the movers and shakers for the rest of your season 17.
Up first, that rowdy bunch hailing from SEA,

Blue Renegade Wino Smurfs have shown they can compete with the best of them and have notched impressive wins against Hali, Mayan, and the Kai among others and find themselves sitting very pretty at 6-2. Led by their stout Dline and a rushing attack that ranks third in the conference. With D9 and Nashville being the only proven WL teams left on their schedule the Renegade look to have smooth sailing to the playoffs the only question left for them to answer is can they win when other teams are trying just as hard as they have been thus far? Stay tuned WL, these guys just might be as good as Madcow thinks they are
Up next, the pride and joy of Canada,

Haliapathy Expl0cares are unquestionable GLB legends. In the WL from day -8 of the inaugural season and remaining a threat in the playoffs year in and year out Gart leads his troops to a 6-2 record at the break. Offensively the team is dynamite with the leagues second best passing attack although their running game seems pretty stagnant who needs to run when you're throwing for 3.5k + passing yards? Their defense.....opportunistic notching an incredible 23 int's and 11 FF's at the midway point. With the Hurricane Warriors, Black Cats, Kai and Prawn still ahead the back stretch won't be easy but expect these guys to be in heavy contention for a home playoff game. If Kingdan ever fixes their defense these guys are among the favorites to come away with a .gif this season. The only problem is, that's a HUGE if.
Thirdly, although the Wife Carriers have alot less wangs in Honolulu then they used to they still offer up pretty stiff competition for any and every team they play.

Honolulu Hurricane Wife Carriers rumble into the break with an impressive 6-2 record the Carriers aren't remarkable in any specific way except for their inexplicable way to win. A very methodical offense and defense that can just be lights out at times lead the charge. A few more interesting games upcoming with the Hounds and Kai as well as Hali along with a few teams that are relatively untested thus far that could prove to be threats have the Honolulu crew not able to go on vacation just yet but a few more wins and they're in and there are still a few gimmes on their schedule. Count them in unless they play themselves out. The real question mark is can they sustain their steady but less then eye-popping performance? Only time will tell.
BOOM SHAKA LAKA......nuff said

District 9 Prawns enter the second half with essentially the entire first half of the season being one shoot out after another but Boom and co have shown an uncanny ability to squeak them out (with the Hounds game being the exception). Featuring one of the leagues top passing teams as well as one of the leagues top rushing tandems D9 has the weapons to give DC's nightmares. With wins over Indy, Mayan, Honolulu and a few WL noobs these guys are comfortably awaiting their playoff games as they still have a few gimmes but also have a few games that could boost them into guaranteed homefield til the CCG if they can make it that far. Kai, Hali and Blue will look to knock these guys down a peg or two as well as a few sleeper teams like LOL and Titans of Fire, don't go cruise control just yet but you're almost there .
