- Erratic Outlaws May Have Found Identity -

After sputtering to a 1-2 start this season, the Oklahoma Outlaws are still looking to find their identity.

Last week's victory over the London Chiefs appeared to give Oklahoma momentum and build the team's confidence in the running game. Elusive tailback Randy McMillan and bruising Fat Guy Running Over You combined for over 205 yards of rushing, and they feel the team's sights should be set on the ground. "The more touches I get, I just start to feel the flow of the game" said running back Fat Guy Running Over You. "I could feel that they were tiring there in the third, and we just went ahead and finished it. I think that's the way we can play." Fat Guy has been a pleasant surprise for the Outlaws this season, but continues to put himself in the coach's doghouse with his excellent play.

Building on last week's success the Outlaws came in to yesterday's game with high expectations, despite being heavy underdogs. "Oh certainly" said tight end Antwan Thomas, when asked if he felt that the Outlaws weren't being given respect. "I think we have to go out and prove that we can win games. Hopefully this will be a step in that direction." Thomas, a second round pick and Big Ten player of the year, has been held without a catch so far this season, but sources say that he is eager to show his big-play ability. "Do I think that I can make plays in this league? Of course. But right now, I'm seeing double and triple teams on almost every play. I'll just continue to work hard and Cannon might find me when I'm open."

A not so diplomatic response came from star receiver "Mooky" Watson, who appears disgruntled with his lack of involvement in the passing attack. "Man, I been open. Them Euro cats can't cover me, go watch the tape." Watson had only 2 catches for 15 yards in the 13-27 loss to the Monkeys and has 64 yards receiving on the season. Watson, first team All-American from Florida State, is expected to make huge contributions to the Outlaws' offense - but says his lack of production can be credited to somebody else. "Man, [Toy] Cannon can't even hit me in practice. I know why these 'Laws wanna run the ball, and it's 'cause Cannon can't see nothing. Mamma didn't raise no fool."

If having the franchise quarterback openly criticized wasn't enough, linebacker Johnny Cooks was arrested in London on Monday night for assault and possession of crack cocaine. He allegedly robbed a local drug dealer and broke his jaw during the altercation. Cooks, an enigmatic third round choice from the University of Miami, has a history of criminal charges going back to his stellar high school days. He was convicted of DUI prior to last season's draft and was also arrested twice for involvement with prostitution as a result of an FBI sting operation. Calls were not immediately returned by the Outlaws regarding the latest incident.

So while the Outlaws seem to be finding a focus on the field, they are doing a better job of finding an identity off the field. As Outlaws.

When asked about the recent problems their player(s) got into on there latest road trip in London the team replied, "they told team officials they were in their suite in bed and at 5AM 3 guys knocked on the door hit them over the head pulled them out the hotel and forced them to go partying all night long". Funny the three men were never caught on video tape so they must have been same three envolved in Javon Walker incident in Las Vegas, similar situation. A high ranking official with Scotland Yard was quoted as saying the British secret service may get involved. It seems as if agent 007, James Bond likes him some Halle Berry and looks forward to possibly seeing her again and working with the FBI on tracking down these international criminal masterminds that have been terrorising professional football players around the world.

I enjoyed reading this except the for fact that I can't take any testimony from Fat Guy Running Over You very seriously.

We're certainly NOT anything quite so mundane as mere "criminal masterminds"....

....We're the Grim Reapers and Death is coming to Oklahoma tomorrow.

Nice prediction boss. Where did you put the coffin, we need to bury these guys before they start to rot.
