That player is also retired so obviously still has no ability to un-equip/re-equip to verify if it is a caching issue or a true bug.

mmmmk so are there any current examples of players that are not retired or is it time to lock this up?

with all the examples of players being retired or fairly inactive (alloy), i think this could be chalked up to a caching issue. marking as not a bug - first verification

It's just a cache issue - if you remove/reequip it'll show up properly.
