What would be more interesting if a Gold team played a level 4 Minors team that has full access to their AI's.

Obviously, the PeeWee team is going to have a better chance the later in the season we get. We'll be rounding out builds while they're paying 5 sps for 1 speed.
At this point, the PeeWee should get plowed.

Likely your peewee team will devour the much higher level minors team.
Won't matter that they have a few extra SP, you are already gaining back some of that advantage via the roundness of your builds.
The most important thing is, low level minors don't even almost meet the level of competition of the copper pee wee leagues. Almost every team in minors runs a variation of the default defensive AI, at most advancing sliders or maybe even blitzing assignments.

That's where you'll see the big difference in being out leveled, on special teams. Their special teams will be too strong/too fast and create a lot of gaps and hold your team back a lot. During the actual game every pee-wee gold team should be able to beat most of the top Cap Level 4 teams since most of those teams don't have competitive AI's set up and seasons upon seasons of experience of trial and error with their custom Ds at the same level.
