There are a few who don't know any better.

And there are quite a few who will assign the SP's to the areas that they're not training.

Many do. There honestly isn't any point in holding it IF you're hit the optimal training point with your primary attribute. Once you get to 27-28 in your primary attribute, there's not enough ROI for the training cost to make it worthwhile to keep training. Therefore, you can move to the next attribute or two. If you're not going to train the primary anymore, might as well dump the SP.

That being said, at DSBM, we typically hold ours for all of preseason or before the last preseason game. From an OC perspective, it is nice to see at least one game where all the dots function the way they will in game 1.

ooh, I mostly just hold mine because I'm not completely decisive in how I want to spend them till the first game.

If the build plan is established, you know where the SP are going before creation.

Ooh, I had it all written out and everything, I threw it out after day -7, lol, I change my mind a lot, but ehh... I think it will work out.

Mine are all on the DI forum. Locked and sealed away so that I can go in there and have access to it whenever I want.

Also my buildplans are built right into the names of all of my players to help my opp scout me.
