i don't know if it's obvious that alpha is the superior conference...the only truly evenly matched game was between the cheetahs and smokers...all the other games were mostly top teams of one conferecen vs the bottom teams of the other conference.

that vaunted rushing attack of the smokers averaged 2 ypc...the cheetahs averaged 4.1.

Alpha Conference wins!

Alpha Conference - 9
Zeta Conference - 7

Alpha Conference - 434 points scored (27.13 point average)
Zeta Conference - 268 points scored (16.75 point average)

totally meaningless stats...unless teams of equal rankings faced off, that means absolutely nothing...and i'm not even going to bother checking your math...lol.

only evenly matched game was the smokers and cheetahs...

You have a point.... BUT....your top teams probably should have done better against our lower teams if this is the case. So technically, this stat is somewhat useful. I think you should get off the defensive and just realize our conference is better. LOL!

BTW, you can check the math but I am pretty sure it is correct. I went through it pretty quickly so if I am wrong, I am sure it isn't by much.

U are making a very broad assumption that our top teams tried to score max points against u guys. U got the smokers who ran all over ur conference and they managed a whopping 2 ypc against the cheetahs...so no way I'm gonna give ur conference props just off of meaningless points scored. Ur whole argument is based off of probably this and probably that. I'm not even going sit here and say would coulda shoulda. Those stats u put up are totally meaningless...and if u can somehow determine that alpha is stronger than zeta based on the smokers-cheetahs game, then u need ur head checked. So don't try to play cuz u are way in over ur head...

also being a bad team in a supposedly better conference doesn't make u any better...

Once again, you are getting worked up over nothing. There is probably no true way to tell who's conference is better because we don't play enough games against you guys. Therefore, you have to look at things which you call meaningless.

For you to say that I am basing my assumption off of the Smokers-Cheetahs game is just plain ridiculous. Let me explain my assumption. The first closely matched game was our #2 vs your #2. Your #2 squeaked one out. Our #5 dominated your #7. Our #8 squeaked one out against your #9. Our #10 beat your #10.

One thing I DID notice was that our Top teams dominated your weaker teams. Your top teams dominated our weaker teams for the most part but some of our weaker teams put some of your Top teams to the test. For instance, your #8 squeaked by our #13 and your #5 squeaked by our #14.

With the top teams, I think it is somewhat even but when you start going towards the teams in the middle and lower, I think the Alpha conference has the advantage. IMO, the Alpha conference is better overall....if just by a little bit.

Like I said, this is all meaningless to you and you are going to think what you want but there should be no need for you to cry about it. This is where I stand on this subject and to be honest with you, there is not much you can say to make me think different. This is my opinion and while I think my opinion is correct, I respect yours. You have a valid argument as do I so I am going to agree to disagree.

If you were referring to the team my guys are on, then you are probably correct about us not being that great this season. Although, we didn't build our team for instant success. We are building a team that should end up being pretty damn good....hopefully a lot better next season. We have the lowest yearly/daily salary in the Alpha conference (probably one of the lowest all around too) and we managed to do pretty well with what we have.

no...I agree...it just seemed that you were making those statements as fact...but u are right, we'll never get to the bottom until there are more inter conference games

so on

The smokers just played a GREAT game with the #2 team..

it was a great game.

it would take the LUCK of the draw out of that last game...


we lost a great game.. one that came down to I think 16 secs and a 4th down td..


that's what this game is all about..

and all the more reason to try it
