Perhaps part of the promotion system should be that the Silver championship game losers get a chance to decline promotion to Gold, without having to PM support.

A message could be sent to team owners involved in the Championship game as soon as they win they're Conference game, day 37 or 38. The message could say something like:
All Silver League winners will be promoted to Gold, however some runners-up may also be promoted. If you lose, would you like your team to be considered for promotion? Yes [ ] No [ ] You have until rollover day 40 to reply.
If they then lose the Championship game, and have declined promotion then they stay in Silver next season. If an owner doesn't reply, they may still promote, but they'll be on the list behind the teams that stated that they wanted to promote.

Promotion order would still be worked out as it is now, or however you guys can work out.

As far as I'm aware the staff from Hartford have been silent during this entire issue, but given the option, maybe they would have declined to go to Gold. I know that I would have given it some serious thought.

FCA has been to 5 consecutive League Championships winning 4 of them. Yes Cali was part of 3 of those but as owner I have 2. Not to mention that as a owner I owned a team (Bengalfish Guppies) in the inaugural season of Gold and stayed there for 2 seasons before leaving Pee Wee.

If you're going off Credentials there is no comparison. If you're going off of League runner ups then that puts us right up there. All in all there is no argument why Fight Club should not be in Gold if a spot becomes available.

ummmm ...how many forum threads does this discussion cover?!?
