maybe it has to do with their vision as to when they actually think they are open they call for the ball ???

If he realizes hes away from the nearest CB 3+ Yards hell give that im open wave

Ive also seen a WR be 12+ yards away and not even look like saying im open so it has to have vision or something

It isn't Vision, at least not on the Wr's part, I don't think.
