Lion Conference Championship Game
#2 Fulham Flying Hellfish (16-2) vs #4 Nairobi Death Squad (15-3)
This is it folks. Whoever wins today will go on to represent Lion in the League Championship Game. Two very tough squads that have played some very good playoff games.

Fulham has been tearing through the playoffs. They demolished both Colonial and Nile in very impressive wins. Hell they haven't lost a game since week 6 when they lost to Kenya by one point so they are battle-tested and ready to prove that they belong in the big game next week. They're on offensive powerhouse and will look to jump out early and force Nairobi to play from behind.

Nairobi has been no slouch in these playoffs either. Some could say they've had the tougher road since they had to face the Bandits in the first round and then the undefeated Kenya squad in the second round. After a first round exit last season this team is looking to continue to dominate behind the strength of their defense. Led by DC Ron Rivera, the Death Squad has imposed it's defensive will on teams offenses all season long. They've given up 26 points against two tough playoff opponents but will they be able to contain Fulhams offense.

I see Fulham taking an early lead that will be just enough to squeak by Nairobi in the end but both of these conference games could go either way if someone starts turning the ball over or stalling out offensively.

Elephant Conference Championship Game
#1 The Dead Presidents (18-0) vs #2 Al Qahira Inferno (17-1)
Another epic match-up between these two teams. TDP feels destined to go on and take home the gold at the end of the playoffs and the Inferno are looking to get revenge against the only team that has beaten them this season. This should be a defensive battle to the final minutes.

TDP has made short work of virtually every team this season except for Al Qahira. A lot of time has gone by since that week 2 game though and one has to factor in how much improvement has been on the game planning side for TDP. They got away with the first game thanks to an early 4th quarter TD that put it to bed. This time they'll have to find a way to get more points on the board to avoid being forced into last minute heroics to try to win the game. If they don't jump out to an early lead this game could go either way. They'll also need to avoid turnovers. 3 INTs in the first match-up did not help them out much and they can't have a repeat of that performance.

Al Qahira has been just as impressive as TDP this season. They've dominated most teams with only 1-2 close games. They've had a slightly tougher road to this game that could have exposed some weaknesses. They were the only team to give TDP a headache this season though so you know they'll be bringing it again. Defensively they have the personnel to keep this game from getting out of hand and if it stays close they have a good shot at moving on to the next round.

I've got to go with the Dead here though. They've just been too dominating this season. Not to take anything away from the Inferno either, but one could also ask themselves if the first match-up was so close because it was a week 2 game and there just wasn't enough scouting to work off of. Of course that works both ways and either way this goes I expect a hell of a game.

Barack "The Bomba" Obama guarantees a win?

Earlier today after The Dead President's practice in an interview Barack "The Bomba" Obama was quoted as saying:

"People keep asking me if we're ready for the Al Qahira Inferno?" "What they should be asking is if they're ready for us."

Bomba goes on to say, "We're going to win. Yeah, I can guarantee a win! Napalm never smelled so good in the morning it's Inferno's time to get torched!"

I was gonna say we're gonna run everything right at your LB but I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what he does for the Inferno.
