You are bitching because LBR is 18 days older than most of your players, and he only moves up two caps. You throw games to only move up 1 cap. Which makes you a slow build team for that cap. Or am I wrong about that?

Pretty sure he is better than the Yokels, and you were complaining about the differences, so I just chimed in my two cents. You always seem to try to twist things around when someone catches you.

say SSB again when I'm talking about slow building instead of super slow building....I think I know the difference....and I'm pretty sure he isn't better then the Yokels when it comes to life...

I would love to take offense, but I really have no idea what any of you is talking about.
Warning to you mindless "tl;dr" dopes, this will be more than your threshold of three (incomplete) sentences, stay the fuck away from what follows.
My team has 20 or so SSB players, one-season benchers except for two. Those two were my players (G and FB) that were experimental builds which could have been retired, but I thought nothing of it. The SSBs were more due to a timing issue than some build strategy, but I do not want that to sound like some justification or excuse.
I complained about SSB teams (I called them "incubators") back in seasons 3/4/5 on any official forum there was. The admins made it clear to me they did not care, so consequently I did not either. It was the de facto rule of the game. Most of my personal players are traditional SBs, but I have dabbled with some SSBs to try things that do not model well in the system's economics otherwise.
My team does follow a very specific mandated build strategy that has little to do with SB/SSB considerations. That stuff narrows to nothing in the long run anyway, so I am not sure about all the rancor.
As for "better", I am not sure how you would have any insight into that at all, CT. From your posts, it is clear that you are uniquely-talented at being a leaky bag of negativity, the worst I have personally seen in GLB. Seriously, dude, you are an analyst's lifelong meal ticket. Doesn't necessarily make you "better" or "worse", and it may even make you feel good about yourself in some twisted way, but most people react unfavorably. At least in these forums. Go figure.
Otherwise pardon me in advance, but the Ether are going to play to win. We are not the best team here, and we will likely drop some games along the way, but we will keep playing to win. And if we lose out on a trophy, I won't be the whiner talking about how bad minor league trophies are, because that would just be self-serving bullshit.

I'm pretty sure we have never thrown a game. There have been many times, with both runs of the Yokels, where we have seriously dicked up the AI. Ussually resulting in screwing ourselves out of revenue. Don't confuse us with Halifax. We would greatly prefer kicking the shit out of everyone, doesn't always work that way. Most of the rancor is directed towards the team that went undefeated and didn't move upahead of all the teams it went 20-0 against.

If the game was based on LVL like it is in the minors then it'd all come down to game planning...which would be my preference to play the game on somewhat of a level playing field....but to have a 40 day player creation advantage with 60 extra days of training over dots who were created and not sat (or boosted however you went about it) for 2 seasons leaves a sour taste in my mouth...there are worse out there who slow built for longer...and sure they thought it was fun....cause it probably was....BUT.....
I revert back to season 2....when they brought out a shit load of teams all at once....many created players right then....entered into various AA leagues and began playing the game hard...right off the hop....the Yokels got a silver that season and I'm damn proud to say that it far out does any slow build or SSB teams trophies out there because the playing field was level....we beat a team who smoked us in the regular season first game of the season because we boosted at the end of the season as a team for the playoffs....rather then boosting at the start....that's about the extent of slow building we've ever gone....and it's not that slow compared to slow building ways past season 1 or 2...
Continue to say you did nothing wrong...because you didn't....BUT....the level of competition down the road will suffer for it as teams who cannot do semi alright in the minors don't last...because losing sucks....so while you believe slow building was the right way to go about it like MANY MANY teams out there....it in reality it ruined the game....check any AA league out there other then USA....(I haven't checked...just going off AA where I was last season and it's even worse this season by the looks of the AA leagues and the AAA leagues out there).....if you can't agree that slow building the way your team and others out there and any SSB didn't ruin the game at lower levels then you're fucking crazy....

Fucking crazy then. That may have been true in seasons 3, 4, or 5. But as I stated before, the admins made it clear that those are the rules of the road. It got to where you needed to do it to beat the peak teams in the given leagues because they otherwise had an advantage. I played it your way for a good while starting in season 6 with my own team, and I got sick of losing in the playoffs to superslow-built or collusively-built teams.
Now I am not God's gift to defensive dotball or anything, but my teams have done well on defense. In every league I have DCed in, my team has been among the top teams. But about the best you could do against the SSB teams was to hang in there with them enough to give them a scare since they could stonewall your offense with ease. So I took my turn being competitive, and I would do it again.
That said, it looks like Bort and Co are getting serious about ending SSB like I suggested they do over 10 seasons ago. Hey, I am all for it. As you claim for yourself, I am all about a purely strategic game, I would welcome it. Hell, group us by effective level. That would never bother me, it would answer my complaints about the one super team that hides in the weak league woodpile. But when I look around the league my team is in right now? I see a bunch of better teams there, and a ton that are competitive with us right now. I find it hard to feel like a villain under those circumstances.
But honestly, thanks for the well thought out response. I can always respect an opinion that is well stated, even if I am fucking crazy (guilty on that one).

Usually I wouldn't give it the time of day....but you have been....I can carry on a conversation....but I'd much prefer the YOKELS!!! stuff cause the game is meh and has been for some time....perhaps the new groups of teams that created this off season will bring a new found goodness to the lower leagues....although there will always be those who ruin the competitiveness that we all crave....see you in the pro leagues one day....

I just built 3 players for my son-in-laws team and boosted them right away, as was the teams plans. TBH, I think the players suck. The loss of training for the usual one season I chose not to boost is huge. Like I have said, I just never have boosted any of my players before they hit level 19, which was usually the end of their season 14 league. It's just what I believe in and I sure can see the difference.
