The year they won they were pretty dominant especially early on because they boosted the entire team for the first game and everyone though LSM was crazy and they would fade. Well they started the "Gold Standard" that to compete in gold boosting at least part of the team early is a necessity for "most" teams. Now don't get all crazy and take that as me saying YOU HAVE TO BOOST TO WIN because you don't... it still rings true that a dominant Defense wins championships regardless of rank... but it sure freakin helps, especially in those glamor positions.

I usually get to play teams in the East in the offseason tbh. :-)

If I remember correctly , if there is a cpu team in the mix then they take a 4th non-cpu team.

That's what they did after the first season in Gold.

Not how I remember it, the Mators actually stayed in gold despite being #13 due to CPU teams leaving above them.
