This was done before the games were played
This will be easily once we get some games in.
The Top Eight
1. London Rippers:
We have the only owner motivated enough to do the power rankings. I reserve the right to be horribly biased. WE are the only team to have a 33 overall rating though, last I checked. Of course, we are against tough opponents these first two weeks, so this ranking may fly in my face.
2. Buffalo Buffalos:
This team started as a 1 man team, but they have diversifed much more over the end of last season. They have lots of talent everywhere and do not have any visible weak area. Based on their overall balance, there barely edge out #3.
3. Vatican Palidans:
Monte Mayor destoryed offenses last year, and I don't see any reson why it would be different this season. They have a lot of talent surrounded their all-star to make this team dangerous.
4. Berlin Stormtroopers:
The top ranked rushing team last season reutn almost everyone, and look to be a contender. They look to be slighly weaker on defense than Vatican, so they barely get edged out.
5. DrUnKiN LuNaTiCs Beer:
Their home games must be very fun.
6. Dublin Fighting Irish:
They don't have as strong of a O-line has the teams listed above, but they have a very highly leveled defense from top to bottom. They surprised a lot of poeple last season, an are a candidate to be a dark horse again.
7. Rome Gladitors:
Talk about a turn around. They have built very nice lines on both sides of the ball. If they can recruit more plays for the skill positions, watch out.
8. Tranmere Titans: Very good secondary, and relitivly decent elsewhere.
The others
9. Kilkenny Sidhe
10. BC Crew
11. Leeds Cougars
12. Dublin Shamrocks
13. Dublin Vikings
14. P-Ville Powerhouse
15. Munich Hofbräuhaus
16. Reading Renegades
GAME OF THE WEEK
Rippers at Beer
Last season, both teams came very close to pulling of a win versus Cardiff during the playoffs. This should be a tough one, and a key game for us so that I don't look like a complete fool for ranking us first, haha.
