I went 4-0 on my game 8 predictions, running my season record to 21-8, not too shabby at the midway point of the regular season. I predict that my predictions will be predictable and perfect this week. Here goes:

1. S.L. Blood Diamonds (6-2) vs Minnesota Mafia (5-3). I like the Blood Diamonds to stimey and befuddle the Mafia. Is Brett Favre coming back to the Vikings next season? I predict the same thing all over again, he'll retire, unretire, hemmm and hawww, and then, play. Make up your freakin mind already Brett, damn that is annoying. Here in the Northwest, our talk sports radio guys have a segment called, "the not sports news about Brett Favre" update.

2. Blackrock Reapers (5-3) vs Dublin Fighting Irish (4-4). I am calling for a bit of an upset here - I like the Irish. I can't always take the favorites can i? My maint guy at work boiled a ribeye roast in Guinness beer for Xmas dinner this past year. That just does not sound good to me, and what a waste of good beer. Cheers to an Irish victory! I can't believe I am pulling for anyone named the Irish - I must be getting soft now that my 39th B-day is 2 days away.

3. B.S. Buccs (8-0) vs Hamburg Kraken (7-1). Fresh off their first loss of the season, the Kraken get the Buccs. Look for the Kraken to get their Buccs kicked in and pick up loss #2. The Buccs should still be looking up at the KC DD's on the power rankings, but this game will give them some claim to the top spot in the league - not enough yet though. Mark your calendars for March 6th...

4. Game of the day. Duluth Eskimos (6-2) vs Falls City Beavers (6-2). Who doesn't like this matchup?? Who doesn't like themselves some Smo Beavers? Sorry, that was a bit of a reach. Back to the task at hand, I like the Eskimos to put the Beavs on ice; put them in the deep freeze; chill them out; cool them down, and send the Beavs hibernating. Do Beavers hibernate in the winter time? If their pond is frozen over, don't they kind of have to? What do Beavers eat, fish? Hell, I guess I don't know squat about Beavers (insert your own joke here).

Regards, Jeremy.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that will end up happening, but we've adjusted now that we know what's going on. Can't wait for the playoffs!! (if we make it...)

Not sure if a paltry 8 point win counts as deep freeze, but we won.

Special recognition goes to our starting corner, Adam Engers, who practically won the game for us on defense and special teams.

It does feel nice to finally exhale however, and not have to worry too much about our next three games, but Chile will be a serious hurdle to try and get over.
