I have to admit, I got swept up in Olympic fever and have been slacking a bit on my GLB time. My apologies, but really, how cool is the snowboarding cross, and why are our guys wearing blue jeans to snowboard??
Anyway, I missed predicting the game 5 games, but I am sure I would have gone 4-0. I did go 4-0 for my predictions from the game 4 games, which means my season record is 13-4 overall.
Game 6:
1. Black Sea Buccs v Corona Del Mar Cougars. A 5-0 team matched up against a 3-2 team, however, both teams are effectively the same level. Is it the schedule or the strategies employed?? Don't know, but I like the Buccs to tame the "Crown of the Sea Cougs".
2. TB Tarheels v the Blackrock Reapers. A 5-0 team vs a 4-1 team, again, both teams are effectively the same level. I say the Reapers get it done and pull off a mild upset. Speaking of the Tarheels and UCLA (which I wasn't), but does anyone know when was the last time both teams missed March Madness in the same season??
3. Atlantis Stormriders v Chili Dogs. A 5-0 team vs a 3-2 team, amazingly enough, both teams are effectively the same level. The Chili con carne Dogs look good on paper, but on the field, they have not produced -- must be strategy, not schedule here. I gotta go with the Stormriders and their cool avatar.
4. Duluth Eskimos v S.L. Blood Diamonds. Two 4-1 teams going head to head. I like this one a lot, and amazingly enough, both teams are effectively the same level. Can I predict a tie??
