Looks like Velvet took it after trailing all season. Grats.

It would have been nice to not have the race doctored at the end, but oh well, I'm a bit biased.

Also, props to my team mate Shizzle. He's a classy, unselfish guy that is a real team player.

He and JP finished 3rd and 4th in total rushing yards with only about 100 yards separating them. Best duo in Oceania IMO.

I like them both. And I like ROYF too.

I will say, Velvet wins the "pimp of the year" award just for the white mink coat.

If anything, this is proof that the MVP system needs a re-working. As much as I like JP, Velvet had just as good of a season in the early games, but So Cal had the "misfortune" of murdering most of their opponents. As much as stat pad games shouldn't factor in, neither should a team be penalized for being good. The game should never encourage stuff like what happened against Tasmania, that's a faulty system when something like that has to be done.

In the end, though, the award went to Velvet. Grats to him. Here's to hoping a better system can be developed that won't penalize him in the future for being on an amazing team.

there is something that is just very wrong about the entire MVP process....not sure exactly how to fix it though.

Here are the adjusted stats for the ST's guys: http://goallineblitz.com/game/stats.pl?season=13&league_id=17&conference_id=33&stat=sp_teams&sort=punt_return_td&playoffs=0&stat_type=adjusted

Matt Anderson finished 5th because he didn't return enough kickoffs - not his fault, there just weren't a lot of kickoffs to return. He's going to retire (I think) so it doesn't really matter as will Denver (again I'm assuming there - kind of didn't want Denver to win the MVP when the season was starting because of that), but Velvet can actually benefit from a nice equipment boost. When he was in position to get it at the end of the season, we went for it. No regrets here.

By the way, Denver has now won the OPL League or Conference Defensive MVP every season he has played in the league....how about we get the MVP equipment named after him for this conference?

Easily the most dominant defensive player I've seen in GLB.

I still remember trying to gameplan around Denver when I ran Samoa's offense. I remember coming up with gameplans to do the best we could to completely take him out of the game. It was never easy, but occasionally my crackpot ideas did work.

Same with me and the IC Incinerators.
Unfortunately the ideas that worked then did not work as well this season, lol.
