Should I buy it as early as possible?

Also, what should I put the attributes in for the equipment?

Finally, should I put all of my initial SP in strength ASAP? Or wait for first softcap?

No reason not to unless you don't want to spend the flex points.

Edit - You can't go wrong with Strength Custom EQ for pretty much every O-line position with the possible exception of LOT.

When you have enough SPs to take Strength to 48, spend them. Though you probably want to train Strength so it is close to 100% of the way to the next point, that way after you get it up to 68 or 74 or whatever you can easily train it and get another point.

One last question - When you say "get strength to 48", do you mean raw score? Or should I include my EQ bonuses?

Raw score like rsb said. You get attribute points added to certain skills each time you level up, regardless of how many points you have in a skill. So if you get Strength to 48, the free level-up points are now worth 2 Skill Pts to you in value. Then if you can get to the next cap, the level-up points are more valuable, etc.

Lots of good starter info on the Wiki if you haven't read through it yet. Welcome to the game.
