I would agree that the Tanks are the team to beat in Lion Conference this season. They have a stacked roster and appear to have good coordinators who plan well. I think they have to be considered the favorites. After that, I think it is up in the air. I think the Wamphyri, Lions, Devil Bats, Stink Apes and Space Cowboys are all very close in terms roster strength. Because of that, it will come down to preparation and game planning. I think that will separate the wheat from the chaff (so to speak) this season (like all seasons, actually).

I remember a team in our old conference last season who had one of the most stacked rosters in the conference and should've gone undefeated last season who went 4-12 because they never game planned. It is my experience that you are just not going to win at this level without watching dot-ball games and preparing. That decides who is participating in playoff games and who is watching them with losing records.

Never mind Pete's post. Game planning is way overrated at this level. There is really no need for it. In fact most teams would be better off just shutting down their AIs and just going with the basic settings. Same goes for scouting. It's simply a waste of time.

lol....not likely. I'm actually hoping to keep this somewhat close and maybe learn a few things that may help us out come playoff time. Good luck either way though.

Actually not terribly disappointed in the results there. I did discover a few things.....most namely that you have a kickass D against running QBs I'll have to try to figure that out for later on. Was a hit or miss proposition with that and it missed so bad I think I dislocated something on the swing. All things considered, it was semi-respectable and puts us about where I think we are in the league. I think there are 3, maybe 4 teams that are with us in a logjam for 2nd best in the conference. It will take some major gameplanning to overcome your guys talent AND gameplanning. Congratulations to your team and especially whoever laid our your defense

Appreciate the words of kindness. I'm the OC/DC, but have input from three other guys that I have befriended on GLB. You guys have a pretty darn good defense of your own. It wasn't like we dominated the game from start to finish. TBH, we didn't want to show to much since we could meet again deep in the playoffs, so we ran the ball A LOT....more than I would like anyway. We didn't take any risks, like going for it on 4th and short inside your territory. I've lost to many games trying to out-think the other guy, only to have it back fire.
If we lost I wanted to make sure you beat us, and we didn't beat ourselves. It could lead to an interesting meeting later this season. Looking forward to watching Wall/Lux game.
GL the rest of the way.
