The decision was made to go slow build with the Barbary Coast squad. We fell all the way to the bottom and then worked our way all the way back to APL in Season 10. I think there were 2 CPU/gutjobs in the league that season (our only 2 wins) and those teams were moved down, leaving us in the APL. As a team we discussed the option of staying in APL where we would be hopelessly out leveled by 12-16 at every position and endure another miserable, lopsided season or going down to AAA where we could be competitive. We decided to go down where we would be playing against teams that were more in our level range, although we were still out leveled by 5-8 in many games. Down in AAA (Season 11) we went 16-0 before losing in the conference championship game. The league was very competitive and was perfect for us. We then moved back up to APL in Season 12 and improved on our 2-14 record going 8-8 and narrowly missing the playoffs.

You can call us pussies for wanting to play against teams out leveling us by 5-8 instead of 10-16 but I call that common sense.

We all pay money for this game and want to have a fun experience. Getting blown out by teams who we would kick the shit out of if the levels were equal was not our idea of fun. Next time you want to talk some shit, just suck an elephant cock (or rhino) instead and keep your bullshit to yourself.

Agreed, not a big fan of leaving squads CPU in the Pro Leagues.

Something tells me it was sort of a last minute decision when an owner reaches critical burn out. Rather than string us along he chose to just sell. Although he could have approached one of the players on teh squad and asked if any of us were interested in purchasing the team or something. We had an OC/DC in place and could have continued the franchise without skipping a beat.

I said you requested a demotion despite not being the 15th/16th ranked team. I was correct.

While it's true, the CPU teams in a pro league are bullshit, the fact that BCP has done just that now, after being a victim of it a couple seasons ago just goes to prove that you're a bunch of pussies.

Yea, even if nobody was able to step up Bort could have moved the team out and let someone else move up. See USA Pro and I think WE Pro bot had teams move up from AA no less and take the spot.
