Welcome. This was an extremely competitive league last season with some teams that looked like they belonged in AAA or even Pro ball rather than a AA league and I have no doubt that this season will be no different.

The Tanks got promoted in S11 to AAA from AA Africa #3 after a 15-1 RS, and a 2nd round playoff loss. However we lost 16 players to inactivity and retirement(all were over lvl 60) in the offseason between S11-S12.. We signed lower leveled players to fill those roster spots, but were still promoted to AAA regardless of our plea to stay at AA one more season. We moved up to AAA in S12, and was the league doormat due to being so out-leveled. ( Maybe it was Al and game planning too, but I won't admit it ). We did manage to win 3 games, and we lost 3 other games by a total of 4 points. So we finished at a solid, 3-13.
We have a lot of S1 vets now, who don't want to spend their last season chasing the 8th playoff in AAA, but would rather try to chase a Championship in AA. Just hope the S1 decline don't hit us to hard at the end of the season. Looks like a few really good teams here.
Good Luck to everyone.

I agree with PeteTSSF. I can't speak for teams such as ours, outside of my own, but we just try to build each season. Seems like the types that promoted like LHC/Covington just pwned everyone because of a signing or three.

Legends has been just trying to get better every season. I doubt we were any better or any worse than our record in regular season and the playoffs record indicates.

We're probably a mid-range AAA team right now but there isn't any room up there right now. I'd bet Legends would struggle to be a 6-10 or a 5-11 team up there right now.

It was odd because when AAs opened up for us we jumped in and REALLY struggled the first two seasons to even nail down a playoff spot. We hope that is behind us right now. Everyone GPs well around here and the Elephant Conference has historically been MUCH better than the Lion Conference. There isn't much room in AAAs for the better squads in Elephant so the exerts downward pressure on those power teams to get that much better and they just grind our (Lion Conference) balls repeatedly.

Best of luck to all the demotes and promotes.

ecrana is gone with promotion so someone will have to pick up the Power Rankings and pre-game reviews at least for the Lion Conference. I might consider it, I've never done it but if someone can point me to the popular spreadsheet for the power rankings I'll see what weight I can pick up.

We came into this league last season from an uncapped minor league. I thought that we might struggle a bit, but I had no idea how stacked some of the team were in Elephant Conference. Add to that, our GM decided to bolt on us and take our QB, RB and lead WR with him. Fortunately, we caught some breaks in free agency and got some good players - good enough to post a 10-6 season. Still, I wondered if AA leagues were all this competitive - they aren't. To be honest, half of the teams in our uncapped minor league two seasons ago could have beaten a lot of the AA teams now.

Not that I am complaining, mind you. I like compettition and I want to be in a competitive conference. Elephant Conference certainly gave us all we could handle last season, so I have no reason to doubt that it will be the same this season. I look forward to it. It's a whole lot more fun to be in a competitive conference than to be in some AA conferences where half of the teams are cpu teams. Where's the fun in that?

The Long Dongs are new here. hoping for a more competition then last season. It was a dead league both in talent and participation.

Dogs of War checking in.

We're mostly dots from S6-7, with a few older dots sprinkled in. 15-1 in uncapped last season, but cut out the gutted/cpu teams and teams we significanty outleveled and we were more like 5-1.

Looking forward to more competition. Looks like 5 gutted/cpu teams in Elephant right now, with 2 in flux - hope those guys can pull together a good FA crop.
