Wow. I was so caught up in these meaningless games, I forgot to look at the Championship game. I'm sure everyone spent a lot of time and energy game planning to make your post more accurate.

trust me, I'm sure that none of our Conference game planned either yet we still went 8-0 with playoff teams. It's just dot vs. dot and it wasn't even close. Every meaningful game between the two Conferences pretty much ended in a Zeta beatdown of Alpha including your team getting stomped by Vatican City. All I see is a ton of excuses, but the truth is there is no doubt. The only doubt was who had the best team in the League and Warsaw went out and took that title today.

I'll agree that Warsaw is the best team in the league. I enjoyed watching the sim. Maybe if you'd stopped there you wouldn't look like you're trying to get accolades for everyone. I haven't heard anyone making excuses about losing the scrimmages, because no one cares. So we lost to Vatican City. Who cares? No one expects to win every game. That's unrealistic. But only you sings praises about winning games no one cares about. Congratulations. I applaud your dedication

you can't really say it was purely "dots vs dots".
example:
Banja never game plans for scrims, so our AI was set to play against the last team we faced, Freight Train. So if Banja AI is focused to play against a different team, then it's hardly an even contest.
I think if you want a more accurate contest of "dots vs dots" you would have to have everyone set to basic with the same tactics settings. Then it is more of a matter of builds.
Otherwise the AI is a big factor in deciding the outcome of the games.

But it was a fun season as it was.

Even though this is an eloquent and well thought out statement, this is just making excuses in their eyes SA. Let me blow their own horns about how well they did in the meaningless games. They have to look for some bright spot in their season since they didn't make the last game.

I agree using these scrimmages is not accurate. However, looking at the inter league play on game #1 of the regular season. I think ZETA won two more. With that being said some fuel to the fire!!!

We did be the War Gods in pre-season and we finished 4th in our conference.

well, of course, it's not completely dot vs. dot, but it was no game plan against no game plan. So, it's not like it wasn't on equal footing. A complete sweep is still a complete sweep. But seriously, if you think that Alpha was anywhere near as tough as Zeta this season, you're really rationalizing. It wasn't. Not even close.

Taking nothing away from Zeta I believe Alpha was a better conference. We played Warsaw just as close as Ukraine did and we were the 8th seed.

I don't think the point was that they were better than you guys. In fact, if our 8 seed was better than your 2 seed, that would be pretty sad. The point he was making that it wasn't even close between our 8 seed and your other playoff teams. Not even remotely close.
