GAME OF THE WEEK
Fat Jaws 9-4 vs Port Saint 11-2
Big game for both teams this week that could affect their playoff seeding. The Badness need this win if they hope to rise up in the standings. A loss guarantees them a playoff spot still but they will be forced to play LHC most likely with the 7th seed. Port has come through the last 3 games having faced a stiff test against Sahara and Taipei to claim the 4th seed. Barring a monumental collapse, that's where they will be come playoff time if they keep on steaming ahead. Port must not overlook the Badness though as they took LHC to the limit earlier in the season so they have the ability to come up with an upset still. With a visit to the undefeated Clerks in store next week I see Port doing what needs to get done here.
Quick Stop 13-0 vs Walburg 6-7
Quick Stop is on a mission for a perfect season and I don't see Walburg derailing them today. With Port Saint and Taipei left on their schedule though can someone upset the Clerks before the playoffs start. Doing so would be a huge statement to the rest of the playoff teams. Unfortunately for Walburg, a loss here almost guarantees they miss the playoffs this season if Houston wins today.
Durban 0-13 vs Taipei 9-4
Taipei gets a bye this week as they prepare to face off against Fat Jaws next week in a game that could affect their playoff standings.
Cairo 1-12 vs Abbotsford 5-8
With no playoff spot in sight the Gnomes prepare to get their last win of the season.
Sahara 10-3 vs LHC 12-1
This had game of the week written all over it but in the end I think the Fat Jaws/Port game could have more playoff ramifications than this game. Sahara has been tough and actually played Quick Stop to a very close game but LHC has been more consistent in their winning ways so I give the nod to them.
Casablanca 3-10 vs Bayou 4-9
Bayou should take this one easily in a battle between an under leveled team trying to hold it's own in this league and an under performing team with nothing left to play for except pride.
G-Vegas 5-8 vs Houston 6-7
Right now Houston is on the outside looking in at the playoffs. A win today could give them the chance they need to try to slip into the 8th seed with an 8-8 record.
Sterling 11-2 vs Detroit 1-12
Bye week for Sterling as they prepare to finish up the season against Houston and Walburg.
