How important is speed for an OT? We all know the major attributes...strength, blocking, agility, vision, confidence etc. but where would speed fall into the equation?

well... speed is really important for LOT, but just in pass protection or for screen plays.
Not because with speed you can avoid DE to run over you, they will do it anyway, but to get them before they grab the QB, pushing them behid the QB and the pocket.

You will get a variety of opinions. Here is what I look for

For LOT
100+ strength/90+ blocking/80+ agility/70+ speed & vision/60+ confidence at least 9 protector at least 7 get low

For ROT
110+ strength/90+ blocking/80+ agility/70+ speed & vision/60+ confidence at least 7 get low

Thanks for the info, I was putting it after confidence in terms of importance but it does make sense to defend the pass rush game.

What level are you talking about ?
Looks pretty high to me, but I can't say,my OT has been build perfectly from the start

Very high level. 65+, I'd say.

Speed is crucially important at OT. However, high Protect can help to compensate for lower speed.

So, normally I'd say capped at 68 for both, eventually, although it shouldn't happen until Str/Block/Agility are done. But LOT can actually get away with less IF he has high Protect. Especially in today's DE market.

I think 61 + training (so 64ish) is fine for the entire o-line.

LOT with high agility around 100+ and high protector only needs to cap speed plus training for around 53-54 speed. I've seen a 65 speed/65 vision OT get so out of position that the DE gets a sack from making an inside move. More than 60 speed would be a mistake. Although with this sim you could make an OT with your eyes closed and shut down a RE.

Me too unless I had an interior lineman that pulled a lot.

I don't see interior linemen PULLING much, but rather going downfield for 2nd level blocks. IMO LG-C need more speed than anybody else in this sim

taking mine to 68, though my LOT has always been a topic of debate.
