Perfect week 7 picks with no upsets. Week 8 doesn't have a lot of great games but the GOTW and the Walburg/Houston game should be the 2 best games this week.
GAME OF THE WEEK
Sterling 6-1 @ Sahara 6-1
Big game for #3 spot halfway through the season. This is a tough one to call. They've only faced 2 similar opponents. The Bulldawgs handled the Badness much easier than Sahara did but Sahara played Quick Stop much closer so this could go either way. Since Sahara has home field advantage I'll give them the win.
LHC 7-0 @ Fat Jaws 4-3
Fat Jaws have not fared well against 3 of the teams ranked in the top 4 that they have played so far and I don't expect that to change against a very strong LHC club. LHC wins easily.
Quick Stop 7-0 vs Cairo 1-6
A bye week for the Clerks before they face off against LHC in what is shaping up to be a huge game leading towards an undefeated season for one of them.
Taipei 5-2 vs Bayou City 2-5
Besides the upset against Walburg, Bayou hasn't beaten another quality opponent yet. They'll try and get on the winning side again as the underdogs in this game but I think they'll have to wait until next week against Durban to get their 3rd win of the season.
Port Saint 5-2 vs Detroit 0-7
Detroit has had a rough season so far and this week gets no easier against a very good Legends squad. This one will get out of reach early on.
Houston 5-2 @ Walburg 4-3
Walburg needs to get the upset here to move into the 8th seed. They have the talent to get the upset win but it'll take a lot of great plays and luck to get over on a Houston team whose only losses came at the hands of the #1 and #4 seeded teams. With 6-7 tough games left on their schedule the loss to Bayou could come back to haunt them as the postseason race gets closer to the finish.
Abbotsford 3-4 @ Durban 0-7
Abbotsford gets a much needed break from their schedule with a bye week here to get them back to .500. They'll need to show up next week against Fat Jaws though to have any chance of squeaking into the playoffs.
Casablanca 2-5 @ G-Vegas 1-6
The Pirates will get back to winning against Casablanca as they ease out of the toughest 3 game stretch of their schedule. It's too late for either team to make a realistic run at the playoffs so this one is for pride.
