Since C's seem to need the fewest attribs of all characters, you can still get high AGI/VIS/COnf and SAs in there eventually.. even speed. Just depends how quickly you want him well-rounded or if you are just trying to peak him for 2-4 seasons

A C needs the same attributes as any other OL, they just have the fewest "major" ones which get that juicy +2 automatic leveling gain split to them. I suppose I'm just being pedantic, though.

do they really need as high of speed, though? Not that more speed isnt a good thing or wanted, but maybe not as crucial as as to say, a pulling guard.

I know what you meant though

We've been over the center speed debate many times on this board. Just find one of the threads.

I went 80 on my C but I don't plan on putting every equipment point on strength like some C's do. I did it just for the attribute gains from leveling early. Now I'm working on blocking while I train up my agility to 32 to cap it in the future.I should 1st cap blocking by level 16 and plan to get it to 73 or 77 cap. Not sure which one I wanna get it to yet.

Why would you go to 80 on your center if you didn't plan on putting all your equipment on strength? That's just a waste and makes no sense.

Right. Instead of those 3 extra in strength (18 SP) but 3 extra in wherever else you were putting the equipment (for less than 18 SP...) then put 3 extra equipment points on strength.

Literally throwing SP away to split your equipment and take a base attribute that high. Unless you took blocking to 80 also

It's hard to believe until you see it in action...speedy C's rule!

Yes Centers need speed, and 1st capping is not enough.

I'm level 40.95 right now, so with my boosts and level up (20 SP) I will take speed from 1st cap to the 2nd cap. I'll post replays if you wish, but I'm pretty confident that the results will be noticeable.

They will be. I made the jump last season, worth every SP.

My C currently sits at 64 (trained up from 61). I'm happy with it there probably for his career.

At this point I'm just fucking annoyed that I'm gonna have to take agility up to the 5th cap :|

I have a G with 135 Str, when he get's the last points from adv equipment, so I would think many C's have more?

For reference, a "perfectly" built C will reach the 6:1 cap and train over to 79 at level 11, without sitting out. Including level 64 equipment and finding two +3 strength AEQs, this projects to 168 strength.

Obviously if you wanted to spend higher than 5:1 you could get even higher than 168. But I think spending to 77 (78 actually... dunno why people say 77) is a reasonable amount.

Getting to 79 at level 11 takes a well planned training and bonus-token cash-in system, but isn't difficult by any means. Just have to get a good enough roll to get off on the right foot.
