No I don't intend to dawdle. I will make my decision in the next few days. But I need contract offers before I can act on them.

Further Edit: I just received information from my GM/Owner that rosters are locked so Steamer can't be released any earlier and his contract will end tomorrow anyways. So you can start sending in contract offers then.

you can't send an offer till day 42. Rosters are locked on day 41 as well as bort processes teams then and other stuff.

Thanks for the info. Well that's just how the system works. I will decide shortly after people can send out the contract offers.

VJ, since you already know a lot about a bunch of teams, will the countract/signing bonus really be any sort of factor? Whats the need to wait for contracts to be sent out before making a decision bud?

I was wondering this. Surely it better for everyone if you work out who you most want to join and only that team bother sending you a contract?

Free agency has started and Stanley Steamer is ready to take offers. Send in those contracts if interested.

A contract is an offer that can be acted on. The pitch is important too. But if there's a pitch but no followup, there's nothing definite. That's the difference between expressing interest and committing a contract, a roster spot, and money to the table.
The contract is going to be short term since Steamer is a year 1 player. The salary and bonus are not important as long as they are sufficient for daily training needs for his level. NTC is preferred.
