I know Get Low is supposed to be the best AE piece for a RG but I haven't been lucky enough to get it yet.

My main question is about First Step. I have a First step/+3 strength and a First Step AE piece that I could upgrade. My G has 66(will be 69) speed and has 75 agility. Equipment all in strength. Is upgrading first step good for a RG?

I've read a long time ago that it was regarded as one of the best SA's. Any news on it recently?

My other options are:

+1 strength/Pancake
+2 Strength/Cut block
+Foundation(Probably to much speed to switch to LG)
Keep shopping for Get low

I'd appreciate any input.

Yeah so if you go with both of those first step pieces, the strength bonus is nice, and 10 first step would be too given your spd/agi. You'd really want to run a lot of plays where the RG pulls, screens/pitches etc to USE first step. I haven't seen any overly-convincing arguments that it helps in pass blocking.

I can't see it helping much in pass blocking either. Pancake, Get low, and Cut block wouldn't seem to do much good in pass blocking anyways.

Shouldn't first step also help on inside run plays as well?

I dont' really see why it would unless your vision and agility suck.

I'd only go with 2 first step pieces if your had a good OC who wanted you to and a good, fast RB.
