we had a record number of votes this week, 1. that is uno for you spanish speaking GLB's. i don't vote. i just add my ultra-wise comments on the side. i will be adding one vote of my own though. after the first team the votes are the pollsters.
1. Combat Wombats - (according to me. its my poll. i can do what i want.)
1. Nambia Wildehond (in three days, this will be tested in the combat showdown.)
2. Combat Wombats (apparently someone doesn't respect the undefeated bats. i hate to be this dudes wife. you call lobster a dinner, woman?!?!??!?)
3. South Africa Ratels (the record doesn't match the talent but the regular season never does for these guys. watch out in the playoffs whoever has to play them first. they always peak late.)
4. Madagascar Serpent Eagles (the norrin radds are feast or famine with their offensive plan.)
5. Zambezi Silverbacks (we are retarded. oh, more politically correct, we are morons. no, wait, we are dumber than rocks. we lost 3 games by less than a td but gave up at least one defensive td in all but one loss. yes i am a little bitter. i need a life.)
6. Saskatoon Vulcanos (newbie is playing well. better than ranking. can they do serious damage in the playoffs?)
7. Savannah Hitchikers (surprising selection this high. not a bad team, just too high.)
8. Monrovia Blood Diamonds (well, mbd gets dissed here. prediction: mbd get pissed reading this here. could win it all, but not from the 8th seed.)
9. Myrtle Beach Screaming Eagles (judging from their chemistry levels, they should be the myrtle beach screaming pms'ers. midol, might help. or a facial.)
10. Berlin Ball Busters (i wondered this all season, who's balls are they busting? and why?)
11-16. -Doesn't really matter- (definitely ranked too high here.)
it looks like the top 8 seeds are settled barring a horrific fall by someone. the unenviable slots are 4,5 and 8. they will undoubtedly end up with the daunting task of playing the combats. a loss in the second round means one more season in AA for someone.
i think any given sunday any of the top teams can beat each other. a few teams have done some massive recruiting and trading to help their cause. will they increase in talent override the decrease in chemistry? who knows? but one thing is certain, it has been a fun season in lion and the playoffs will be nasty.
