Here is the latest on how it will work:

Starting in the player's 12th season, every 8 days he will lose some percentage from his physical stats.
401 days old to 440 days old (player's 11th season): no XP, plateau
441 days old to 480 days old (player's 12th season): 1% every 8 days (net of -5%)
481 days old to 520 days old (player's 13th season): 2% (net of -15%)
521 days old to 560 days old (player's 14th season): 3% (net of -30%)
561 days old to 600 days old (player's 15th season): 4% (net of -50%)
601 days old+ (player's 16th season): 5% (net of -75%)
cut it off there.
For football skills and vision/confidence, we do half of that:
401 days old to 440 days old (player's 11th season): no XP, plateau
441 days old to 480 days old (player's 12th season): .5% every 8 days (net of -2.5%)
481 days old to 520 days old (player's 13th season): 1% (net of -7.5%)
521 days old to 560 days old (player's 14th season): 1.5% (net of -15%)
561 days old to 600 days old (player's 15th season): 2% (net of -25%)
601 days old to 640 days old (player's 16th season): 2.5% (net of -37.5%)
etc until both are down to - 75%.
By having the skills & mental attributes decline slower, it will likely allow some of the skill positions such as K/P to play a bit longer just like in RL.
Bort is currently undecided whether to allow boosting after 10 seasons or not.
Here is what bort just wrote about when you stop getting XP:

XP stops once your 10th season is over. Once you reach 400 days old, you no longer gain XP. That why I added the age thingy.
440 days = start of first stage of decline
480 days = second stage
etc. etc.
Again I caution you that this is tentative and that bort could slightly modify any of the numbers or things posted here, but this will give you a very good idea of what the decline will look like.
